A communication was received from Ted J. Herron, Executive Director j1Parking
Housing Authority, in regard to restricted parking on Myrtle Avenue and
Councilman Kliegel moved that there be no parking on the east side j':Traffic
of Myrtle from Swifts Highway to Edmonds on a 90-day trial basis :.Commission .

A communication was received from Frank Landwehr in regard to his y'Planning

Traffic The meeting was held Tuesday, April 14, 1970, 8:00 A.M. , with all
Committee members present except Councilman Haake.
Report
Items discussed:
1) School Pedestrian Crossings - The Commission recommends that
the previous recommendation regarding standardizing of signals
at school pedestrian crossings be implemented pending the
availability of funds. It further recommends that the change- R,
over be made during the summer months prior to school opening ij
and that the Highway Commission be notified of this decision to '
provide ample time for the Highway Commission to make similar
changes on the pedestrian signals on the state maintained
routes in the City.
2) Regarding the loading problem on Industrial Drive at the Central'
Missouri Junk Company, the Commission recommends that an off-
street loading ram be constructed and that details be worked
out with the City Engineering Department.

session at 7: 30 p.m. , Thursday, April 9, 1970 in the Board Room 11 Report
of the Chamber of Commerce.
Items discussed and recommendations are as follows:
1. Request of Williams Keepers , Oliver Payne and Rackers to

Hadlick, to rezone for nursing home part of Outlot 87 (470' x

is the intention of Scheperle to construct a 120 bed nursing
home on the tract and lease same to State Wide Nursing Homes .

Request 30 day extension as there was no one in attendance to
explain intended useage of land or to represent Mr. Schenewerk.
Special meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 7 to hear this i
request and other matters that may be presented. City Clerk
to so notify Mr. Schenewerk.
7. Request from Mr. James Strong to change zoning of entire tract
of Old Moreau Heights School property to E-Land local Commercial;.
Recommend that the tract be changed to zone D-Multiple Dwelling.;

Councilman Hiesberger stated that applications are now pending at tj City
Fort Worth for three new Urban Projects and a prerequisite is a �! Planner
City Planner. If the position is not filled, the funds which have {
been allocated to Jefferson City could be frozen.

Election On motion of Councilman Scrivner, Councilman Wildhaber was
President nominated for the office of President Pro tem. Councilman Riner
Pro tem seconded the motion. Councilman Iuen moved that nominations cease
and that Councilman Wildhaber be elected by acclamation. The
motion passed. Following the election, Judge Wilson administered
the oath of office to Councilman Wildhaber.
Appointmenti Mayor Christy presented the following appointments to office:
City Ed Pope, Tanner Bridge Road, as Street Commissioner for a term of
Officials one year, and Dr. Robert J. Nemer, 1906 Chicago Road, as Director
of Public Health, for a term of one year, or until their successors
are duly appointed or qualified; vice, reappointment.
Councilman Strong moved that the appointments be approved. The
motion passed.
Judge Wilson then administered the oaths of office.
Personnel Mayor Christy requested that the Personnel Committee make a study
Committee of the situation of appointing the Street Commissioner and the
Director of Public Health every year.
