Mayor Christy presided.
Councilmen present: Borgmeyer, Hager, Iuen, Kliegel, Nacy, Roll
Scrivner, Strong, Wells and Wildhaber. Call
Councilmen absent: Riner, absent with leave.
A quorum was declared present.
The special meeting was called to determine whether the City of
Jefferson should intervene in the rate increase application filed
by the Missouri Power and Light Company to increase rates for
natural gas service provided to customers in its certificated area
which includes the City of Jefferson .

On motion of Councilman Wildhaber, seconded by Councilman Hager, Executive
the Council recessed to go into executive session. Session

After the executive session, the Council reconvened
Councilman Iuen moved that the City intervene in the rate increase City
filed by the Missouri Power & Light Company and that the City Attorney
Attorney file the necessary protest. The motion passed.
