Councilmen voting Nay: None Councilmen Absent: None The following Resolution was introduced by Coune.lman Hiesberger: Resolution RESOLUTION FOR PAVING Paving of Chestnut WHEREAS, the roadway of Chestnut Street from the end of the Street concrete pavement at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Gold Street, northerly to the end of a 33-foot concrete pavement, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri is in need of improvement, NOW THEREFOR BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, THAT, Chestnut Street, in the City of Jefferson, Missouri, from the end of the concrete pavement at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Gold Street, shall be graded, paved, curbed and guttered where necessary with Portland Cement Concrete; and that all of the above described work is necessary to be clone. That the cost of said improvement, including street intersections and drain- age facilities, shall be charged against the lots and tracts of land, fronting or abutting on the street so improved along the distance improved, in proportion to the number of fronting or abutting feet, and shall be paid for by special tax bills issued against the property fronting or abutting on any of said improve- ment, and the Council hereby declares the aforesaid paving from the end of the concrete pavement at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Gold Street necessary to be done; and RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Director of Public Works, and ex-officio City Engineer, be, and he is hereby instructed, to prepare plans and specifications for said improvement and an estimate of the cost thereof and file the same in the office of thel City Clerk. RESOLVED, that when the said plans and specifications and estimates of the costs of said work or improvement shall have been filed with the City Clerk, that the said City Clerk shall then cause this resolution to be published for seven consecutive inser- tions in the Post Tribune, a daily newspaper published and printed in the City of Jefferson, Missouri.
