FI Mayor Christy: Your Utilities Committee recommends the following street light installations to the Council: 1. Replace existing light at corner of Norris Drive and Hillsdale with 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light. 2. Install new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light at 203 Norris Drive.: 3. Replace the existing light situated at the alley in the 900 ;a block of Broadway Street with a 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor jf light. 4. The following report was presented from the Committee-of-the-Whole: Committee- July 5, 1966 of-the- i' Specifications recommended by the Committee of the Whole for the Whole purpose of requesting bids from Truck Leasing Companies - for Report. operation of a City Bus Line I `:. 1. That five new busses be provided to the City. Three buses to be 20-25 passenger capacity, and two to be 35-40 passenger capacity. 2. Busses to be diesel or gasoline operated with optional bid for air-conditioning. 3. Routes to be run on present City routes or approximately 600 miles per week per bus. 4. All necessary motor oil, grease, tires, parts and maintainence labor to be provided, by leasor. Busses are to be fueled daily and accurate records pertaining thereto will be kept and provided to City through a monthly billing to the City (so the City can claim p the 4� or so pergallon refunded.) All busses are to be washed twice a week and vacuumed daily by leasor. 5. All state and county taxes are to be paid by lessor. No City taxes will be assessed. 6. Leasor will provide the City with adequate office space for base of operations for dispatcher-driver and drivers. Leasor will provide garage and storage facilities for bus company. Office utilities, except typewriter and adding machine will be provided by lessor. 9. City will buy coin boxes that tally number of passengers or quantity of money taken in. On motion of Mr. Willcoxon, the report was approved. The motion passed. Sanitary An Application for extension of a Sanitary Sewer in the vicinity of Sewer Payne and Taylor Drive was received from Mr. Elbert Raithel, 1512 Extension. Taylor Drive. The application was referred to the Director of Public Works . Bill No. 34.
