Resolved, That the Director of Public Works be and hereby is instructed to
prepare plans and specifications for such improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof, and file the same in the office of the City Clerk.
Resolved, That when the said plans and specifications and estimates of the
costs of said work or improvement shall have been filed with the City Clerk,
that the said City Clerk shall then cause, this resolution to he published for
seven consecutive insertions in the Post 'rrii)une, a daily newspaper published
and printed in the City of Jefferson, Missouri.

Resolution - The following resolution was presented to the Council:
Transit RESOLUTION
Authority. WHEREAS, the City Transit Authority and the City Street Department are
desperately in need of additional garage space, and
WHEREAS, the Transit Authority has searched the City for temporary garage
space within its limited budget, and
WHEREAS, no suitable quarters have been found,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, THAT, the Director of Public Works and the City
Building Commissioner be directed to work with the Bus Authority Manager and
the Street Commissioner in designing a garage to be located on City property
along Miller- and Chestnut streets, and
f BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the work start immediately to insure a
building before cold weather begins with no more than $10, 000 in funds from the
City's General Revenue Fund allocated to finance this building, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this property be designated as a part of the
Street Department but shall be rented to the Transit Authority for $25 per month
until permanent quarters may be obtained.

Permit - Mayor Christy read communications from the C'hur•cIi of Christ, Scientist
I-Ioliday Inn. and the Jefferson City Ministerial Alliance that they were riot opposed to the
Holiday Inn project, but urged that the City Council not adopt any proposed
amendment which would reduce said distance in Ordinance No. 7071, Section
713 below 250 feet.
There being no objections to the issuance of the Special Permit recommended
by the Planning and Zoning Commission, Councilman Riner moved that the
Special Permit be granted. The motion passed by the following roll-call vote:
Councilmen voting Aye: Debo, flanke, Hawes, Hiesberger, Kliegel, Hiner,
Scrivner, Stone, Van Loo and Willcoxon. 10
Councilmen voting Nay: None. 0
Councilmen absent: None. 0
Mr. Omer Kelpe, 618 Tomahawk Drive, offered his congratulations to the Mayor
and the Council Members for their action in granting the permit for the
construction of the holiday Inn Motor Hotel.
Public The following report of the Public Utilities Committee was presented to the
Utilities Council:
Committee "Your Utilities Committee recommends the following street light installation
Report. to the Council:
1. Replace existing light with 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light at 100 Bel Air
Drive.
