Approval of The minutes of the meeting of October 4th, were approved as read. minutes. ----------- Committee to Mayor Christy appointed the following Councilmen to canvass the vote of the Canvass Vote. Special Bond Election, held on October 5, 1965: Councilman Scrivner, Chairman; Councilmen Kliegel and Van Loo. Councilman Scrivner presented the following report of the canvassing committee: "To: The Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council, City of Jefferson, Missouri: We, your special committee appointed to cast up the vote of the City Special Bond Election conducted October 5, 1965, wish to report as follows: This report includes the votes received at the polls, absentee vote and total votes. Attached hereto is a resume of the complete vote throughout the seventeen precincts in the Five Wards of the City. The motion was unanimously adopted by the Council and the Bill was read the third time by title and placed on final passage. " Mr. Roy Epple, 410 Aurora, representing the property owners on Aurora Street spoke in opposition to the construction of sewers, due to the fact that the cost per square foot was higher than they had anticipated and also that the contract for the construction was awarded at the meeting of October 4th, when they had been notified that the bids would be opened on October 8th. Co. , asking permission" to construct a 40' entrance to Knipp Parking Lot on Delaware Street. The request was referred to the Street Committee. Planning A request was received from H. H. Traffic Commission: Report. "The Parking and 'Traffic Commission met at 7: 15 on Monday, October 18th, Present were Councilmen Scrivner, Van I_.00, Haake and IIawes. The Commission recommended the establishment of a loading zone at 60:3 Jefferson and 707 E. McCarty and authorized the Police Department to station a traffic: officer at the intersection of Dix Road and West Main between the hours of 7: 30 and 8:00 a. m. from Monday through Friday. The Commission recommends that parking be allowed on the north side of the 100 block of East Miller. The Commission recommends the elimination of through truck traffic on Willow Drive and the establishment of no parking from 900 to 904 West Main. " Mr. IIawes moved the adoption of they report. Mi Street Light Mr. Haake, vice chairman of the Public Utilities Committee presented the Resolution. , following resolution: "Be it hereby resolved by the City Council, City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the Missouri Power and Light Company make the following installations in accordance with recommendations presented to the City Council by its Committee on Public Utilities and adopted by said City Council on October 18, 1965. 1. Install 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light at the intersection of Harding and Atchison Streets. 2. Install 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light at 404 Elizabeth. 3. Replace two (2) existing lights in the 400 block of Bolivar with new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor lights. 4. Replace existing lights at Binder and Hillsdale and Binder and Oakview with 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor lights. ' 5. Install 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light in the vicinity of 1708 E. Miller. 6.
