City Council after public hearing, vacated Cherry Street from Elm to Dunklin Street. This closing would have denied vehicular access to property located on Chestnut but using the alley from Cherry to Chestnut. The Board of Commissioners has passed a resolution to change the plan and will pave Cherry Street from Dunklin north to the alley. This action involves no cost to the City. Because of our agreement with Lincoln University Cherry Street must, however, re- main closed from the alley north to Elm. The plan also vacated the alley running east from Cherry St. to Chestnut and the alley running west from Linn to Chestnut. Be- cause homes will remain that use these alleys for vehicular access, they cannot be vacated. The change in the Cherry to Chestnut alley is shown on the sketch. The Linn to Chestnut alley is not shown. We ask that the City Council by resolution authorize these revisions in the Campus View Urban Renewal Plan. Most of the re- quested changes are shown on the enclosed existing and proposed sketches.
