Prayer. Prayer was offered by Mayor Christy.
Roll Call. Present: Ilaake, Hawes, ilogg, Kliegel, Riner, Scrivner, Skain, Van Loo
and Willcoxon. 10
Absent: None. 0
A quorum was declared present.
Minutes. The minutes of the meeting of Decernber 21, 1964, were approved.
Plumbing Dr. J. R. Robinson, 1402 Isom Drive appeared before the Council, making a
Code. complaint relative to Phil G. Bauer, Plumbing Contractor, citing violations
Dr. J. R. of the Plumbing Code.
Robinson. On motion of Mr. Scrivner, seconded by Mr. Riner, the matter was referred
to the Committee-of-the-Whole, and Mr. Bauer is to be asked to appear
before the Committee. The motion passed.
Fred M. Luth A letter was received from Louis A. Luth, President, Fred M. Luth & Sons, Inc.
Letter. thanking the Council and City Officials for the treatment they received while
working on the sewer project in Jefferson City, Missouri.
Planning and A request was received from Mr. C. S. Alberts, of the Alberts Construction
Zoning Comm. Co. , requesting the rezoning of the 900 block (West Side) of Jefferson Street
particularly the southern part, which is now zoned as a two-Family Dwelling
Area to Multiple Dwelling.
The request was referred to the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Street A letter was received from Roy A. Scheperle, requesting the City to accept
Committee. Crystal View Terrace in Riverview Addition as a City Street. All work has
been completed according to City standards. The request was referred to the
Street Comrnittec.

Parking E The following report was received from the Parking and Traffic Commission:

On motion of Mr. Hawes, the report was adopted. The motion passed.
Public Health Dr. Richard Skain, Chairman of the Public health Committee, announced that a
Committee. meeting would be held on Thursday, January 7, 1965 at 7: 30 p. m. , in the
Council Chamber.

Utilities Comm. The following report was received from the Utilities Committee:
Report. "Your Utilities Committee recommends the following street light installations
to the Council:
1, Install (1) new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light on Livingston at Castle,
2. Install (1) new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor light on Castle between 505
and 507.
3, Replace existing light with new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light at
106 Bolton Drive.

Section 1, Line 4, strike out the period after the wort! Street, add a coma and Amendment to

"An Ordinance regulating the parking of motor vehicles on the roadways of Regulating
this city, prescribing a presumption that any vehicle parked in violation of the Parking on
Ordinance, was parked by the owner thereof, and providing a penalty. " Atchison Street.
On motion of Mr. Debo, the b ill was read the third time by title and placed on

Street Light The following resolution was presented to the Council:
Resolution. RESOLUTION
Be it hereby resolved by the City Council, City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
Missouri Power and Light Company make the following installations in
accordance with recommendations presented to the City Council by its
Committee on Public Utilities and adopted by said City Council on January 4, 1965.
1. Install (1) new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light on Livingston at Castle.
2. Install (1) new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light on Castle between 505
and 507.
3. Replace existing light with new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light at
106 Bolton Drive.
4. Replace existing light with new 6800 Lumen Mercury Vapor Light on corner

5. Replace existing light with new 6800 Lunien Mercury Vapor Light at

Widening of Councilman IIogg inquired of the City Attorney, Thoinia s P. Rose, what progresti
West McCarty. was being; made on the widening; of West McCarty Street. Mr. Rose stated that
forins from the Veteran's Administration had been sent to the property owner in
Kansas City and when these are returned the easements could be obtained.
Intersection Mr. Debo requested that the intersection of Stadium Drive and Southwest Blvd. , be
Stadium and posted as a "Dangerous Intersection". The matter was referred to the Parking;
Southwest Blvd, and Traffic Commission.
P. T. A. Mr. Debo presented a letter received from the Jefferson City Council of Parents
Council. and Teachers requesting; the City Council to take early action on the Traffic
problem at the intersection of Dix Road and Industrial Drive by the Faith Lutheran
School and urging action be taken on all traffic problems relative to the local
schools. The letter was referred to the Parking and Traffic Commission.
