Minutes. previous meeting were approved. -------------------- i A communication received from Mr. John N. Bauer, President of the ;; Woodland Woodland Cemetery Association requesting annual payment of $800.00 '; Cemetery for the calendar year of 1963, was approved on motion made by Assn Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter. ;i The following communication was received from F. H. Young, Director; of Civil Defense. " "The writer respectfully requests authorization to lease or rent, Civil necessary storage facilities for the warehousing of Civil Defense Defense supplies arriving in Jefferson City to be used at the various Storage. public shelter facilities approved by the Civil Defense Agency. This request is necessitated by the action taken by the City Council to use the present storage facilities as a PAL outlet, sponsored by. the Police Department and the Juvenile Officer of Jefferson City. pi It is possible to rent storage facilities for 104� per square foot from the Capital City Warehouse Co. , and the writer feels that the minimum space required will be 150 square feet. Your action on the above will be greatly appreciated by the local PAL organization and the writer. On motion by Mr. Riner, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter, the request was granted. Mr. Willcoxon, chairman of the Street Committee recommended that Street Berry Street, between McCarty and Miller Streets be vacated as Committee soon as necessary easements are received. ____________________ ! On motion by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Riner,the Accounts and Accounts & Claims for the month of March, 1963 were approved. Claims ____________________ Mr. Kliegel asked that the matter of a street light in the 600 " Water & block of Michigan Street be referred to the Water and Light Com- '' Light fi mittee. Committee. Mr. Debo recommended that the matter of a street light at 605 Edwards Water be referred to the Water and Light Committee. & Light -------------------- Committee The matter of parking on both sides of Lee Street was referred to Parking & the Parking and Traffic Commission for them to study and report Traffic back to the Council. Commissio -------------------- Mr. Robinson spoke to the Council about having printing done for Printing various offices in the City Hall on the Xerox Copier at the rate of 125 copies for $15.00 permonth with an additional cost of lOG i i9� 3 ,, per copy. On motion made by Mr. Butter, seconded by Mr. Riney, the matter was referred to the Ordinance and Printing Committee. ;€ -------------------- Capitol On motion by Mr. Butzer, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter, the following House Apts. '' recommendations submitted by the Building Commissioner and the Request City Engineer were approved. !� '' Hon. Thomas ' request, outlined in his :, letter to the Council of March 18 1963 which was referred to the t , ;' City Engineer and the Building Commissioner for review, we recommen } the following: 1. That the Capitol House Apartments, sponsored by the Olive Realty and Development Company, be approved as a j preliminary, general layout drawing. I; 2. That prior to any construction, complete sets of plans!; and specifications be prepared in conformance to the zonin requirements and building code. As a matter of information to the Council members, this ;! ;: preliminary layout indicates possibilities of a well-planned ,, multiple-dwelling housing development, with proper consideration ;: of esthetics, parking facilities, acceptable street traffic pattern! and conformity to good engineering and architectural practices. €� _ We encourage any questions from the members of the Councill i as regards our approval of this preliminary layout.
