Rost Co. ----------------------------- 395.00 i A motion by Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. Robinson to purchase the equipment from the Gordon firm was defeated after a question of wiring arose, along with a question concerning the inclusion of the matter with another bid request . The Woodlawn firm, another bidder, giving a proposal on Central Air Conditioning for the third floor withdrew a portion of his bid, which included :i the item for the Collector's Office. Those matters referred to this Committee with power to act were handled as follows: 1. Instructed the City Clerk to authorize the purchase of one Forced Feed Spreader to the low bidder--Bublitz Machinery Company for the sum of $1628.00 FOB Jefferson City and 2% cash discount. �! 12. Instructed the City Clerk to authorize the purchase and erection of one Pre-Fabricated Steel building to the low bidder-- Modern Sash & Door Co. 3. Instructed the Street Commissioner to: (a) repair & seal coat about .2 mile of Schott Road westerly from the easterly city limits. (b) Repair & seal coat the 100 block of Monroe Street (c) Repair & seal coat the alley between Madison & Monroe and Capitol Ave. & State Street. 1 (d) Repair & seal coat the 200 block of Mulberry { i' (e) To cut the weeds on the parking lot off Broadway St . f Those matters referred to the Street Committee for study and { recommendations are as follows: f 109 Regular Meeting, June 4, 1962 l• This Committee recommends that the low bidder be awarded the c ract of resurfacing part of High St . Part of Capitol Ave . , and one block of Jefferson St . This contract to be paid by monies from the Traffic & Vehicle fund. 2. The matter of replacing the "limited parking sign1A in the 600 block of West Main Street, this committee feels that their no longer exist a need or desire for this " limited parking" restriction as outlined on page 164--Section 71-30 of the 1956 Revised Ordinance Book and that it be referred to the proper Committee and/or City Attorney for ammendment to that section . .3. The matter of installing curbs and gutters in the 200 block of East Dunford Street was shelved until after the Russell Street j project is handled. !j ,4. The matter of widening the entrance to Lee Lane was referred y �to the Street Commissioner and Mr. George Robinson to work it out !i with the adjoining property owners . It was determined by plat on i? record that Lee Lane at the intersection of Moreau Drive is 40 feet wide and with this as fact it does seem probable that the intersection can be improved. 5 . The request that the City install a 36" C.M. Pipe between the !'Radford & Edison" residence on Bald Hill Road was denied. 6. Mr. George B. Rehagen requested parking facilities on Elm Street'`. near Clark Ave. which was approved by this Committee providing 14r. Rehagen gets approval from the Missouri State Highway Dept . Further, if Mr. Rehagen gets permission he must build it under the supervision of the City Engineer. 7. The matter of improving East Atchison with chat or crushed stone; at the expense of the City was set aside for further study and consideration . 8 . This Committee recommends that the Street Cut Ordinance be amended to include an escrow and/or bond clause in the amount of $500 .00 as a gurrantee that the street will be replaced to the same standard as existed prior to the cutting thereof. 9 . The matter of appointing a three member Committee to draft standards of construction contractor' s pre-bidding qualifications was held up for further study ." On motion by Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. Butzer, Mr. Cline was instructed to proceed with his work. Police Bd. On motion by Mr. Riner, seconded by Mr. Cline, the following items Report . submitted by Mr. Scrivner, chairman of the Police Board was approved; .
