The regular November meeting was opened with prayer offered by 'Mr. Robinson . Goff Parking On motion by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter, a communication Request . submitted by Mr. Alfred R. Goff, 620 State St. , concerning parking conditions in the 100 block of Lafayette Street, was ordered referred to the Parking and Traffic Commission . Meeting with 'On motion by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Butzer, the council voted GJCC Group on to meet with the Greater Jefferson City' s Committee Sub-Committee Sewers . on Sewers and Pollution Abatement, as requested by Allen Becker Chairman, at 7: 30 p.m. , November 12, 1962. Urban Following a discussion concerning design and field work for Dunklin Renewal Street from Madison to Clark Avenue and Lafayette Street from in re Miller to Franklin Streets in re cash or credit under Urban Renewal,. Dunklin and further action on the matter was delayed until Mr. Herron of the Lafayette. Urban Renewal Authority could be present to discuss the matter with the council. Ii The Street Committee referred the matter to the City Engineer to lj ;!, contact the State Highway Department to put up necessary guard j rail. on motion by Mr. Robinson, seconded by Mr. Cline, the Mayor was 'Public Works 11authorized to appoint a Special Committee to be composed of three 'Accelerat {; people to work with the City Engineer to determine the possibility 'Act. : of a project under the Public Works Acceleration Act and the ! committee was authorized to spend up to $200.00 for any engineering , services necessary. .j The Mayor then appointed Mr. Robinson, Mr. Riner, Mr. Kliegel and the City Engineer as members of this committee. Peter' s Home and School Association, } tion . having decided by vote, goes on record favoring: 1. A protection program in the St . Peter' s School system coordi- nated with the Jefferson City Civilian Defense Commission Plan for 'Emergency Operations; and, i,2. The arousing of an awareness on the part of students and ..parents; and, A. A special program on state and local defense be presented to ;our Home and School Association during this school term; and, f 1i4. A warning system that is adequate for any emergency, since ; this is the most important operation of our city' s defense program; I ;;and, 35. That Council members of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , take :immediate steps to provide funds for our city' s share of cost for (� :'the installation for sirens at locations approved by the Mayor' s ( commission for Civil Defense; and, �) .
