'' The board also recommends that Sec . 945, 946, and 947, of the Ii Revised Ordinances requiring the inspection of taxi cabs be rigidly;± enforced. This committee further recommends that the Chief of Police be authorized to install a pole to be used as an aerial for the ; Police Department RAdio system at the new department location." (ITEM 175) That Yield Right of Way signs be installed to affect both east and west bound vehicles turning; right from the throughway onto Harrison Street (highway 50 West) by means of the special lanes provided therefor. These signs have already been !� installed by the Highway Department, but an ordinance is necessary for enforcement . 2. (ITEM 176) That stop signs be erected to affect traffic entering Ellis Drive from Tanner Bridge Road. 3 . (ITEM 177) That left turns by westbound traffic from the throughway onto Bolivar Street be prohibited between the hours of 4: 30 p.m. and 5: 30 p.m. 4 . (ITEM 178) That Yield Right of Way signs be installed to affect both east and west bound vehicles entering; Clark Avenue by means of I• the throughway ramps, replacing existing stop signs . 5 . (ITEM 179) That a left turn lane be painted to prevent northbound vehicles on Clark Avenue, desiring; to proceed west on ;i the throughway ramp, from interfering; with other northbound traffio while waiting; to turn left . � i Regular Meetln6, January 22, 1.962 45 6 . (ITEM 181) That a request by the chairman of the Cole County Chapter of the American Iced Cross for a reserved parking; space for an emergency vehicle on the east side of the 200 block of Madison Street be denied on the ground that the frequency of emergencies requiring immediate loading. and dispatch of the vehicle concerned does not warrant full time restriction of parking for that purpose .',, . Mrs . Fisher offered a conunendation to the Fire Department for its f and St . work during the Wyandotte Furniture Company fire that occurred Commissioner January 16, at 121 E. High St . , and to the Street Conunissiorier for CQmmendation. the excellent direction of Street Cleanin}; operations during prevailing heavy snow and ice storms . Ice on Mr. Burkhalter called for publicity on the fact that it is the Sidewalks . responsibility of property owners to keep sidewalks clear of ice conditions . E-Umer Henunel, to clear the sidewalk of existing; debris . 7094 The following; ordinance was introduced: Ward 7094/ "An ordinance repealing sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 61 7 , and 8 , of`1 Redistrict-- Ordinance No . 5986, of the City of Jefferson, Mo . , (Being; Section j ing. 390-397 , inclusive, of the Revised Ordinances of the City of Jefferson, Mo. , 1956) which established wards within the City of Jefferson, Mo. , and defined and described the boundaries thereof and enacting a new ordinance pertaining; to the same subject ." Read first time at length, second time by title and on motion by Mr. Dorr, seconded by Mr. Jobe, the Ordinance was referred to a i Study Conunittee previously authorized for appointment by the Mayor and an additional six months granted for study. Read first time at length, second time by title and on motion by Dorr, seconded by Mr. Jobe, the Ordinance was referred to a Study Committee previously authorized for appointment by the Mayor and an additional six months granted for study.
