A quorum was declared present .
Minutes . On motion by Mr . Burkhalter, seconded by Mr. Butzer, a motion was
adopted by majority vote to delete the final line reading "an an
additional six months granted for study," from a motion on
referring proposed Ordinance No. 7094 to a study committee and
. to delete the final line reading "and an additional six months
granted for study," from a motion on referring; proposed Ordinance Nc6.

Minutes . On motion by Mr . Willcoxon, -seconded by Mr . Dorr, the minutes of

adopted a motion calling; for the Mayor to request the study committee
referred to in the two proposed Ordinances , 7094 and 7095, to enter :;

time the council meets next in regular session .
Dixon Drive On motion by Mrs . Fisher, seconded by fir. Burkhalter , a petition

that Dixon Drive be closed to through Bruck traffic was ordered

batement request entered by the City Collector to abate property taxes on

The Committee-of-the Whole convened at 7: 30 p.m. , Jan . 30, 1962,
in the City Council. chamber witty Mr . Willcoxon, presiding; and the
following members present : Mr. Burkhalter , Mr. Dorr , Mrs . Fisher,
. Mr. Jobe, Mr. Kliegel, Mr. Riner, Mr. Scrivner, Mr. Vanderfeltz and
Mr. Willcoxon.
Mr . Butzer was not present when the meeting; opened, but arrived
later in the meeting;.
`Following a bried discussion of a personnel manual, the committee
by majority vote, approved a motion submitted by Mr. Dorr, seconded ''
:by Mr. Jobe, to recommend to the council a substitute plan
. presented and discussed by Mr. Dorr.
On motion by Mr. Dorr, seconded by Mr. Jobe, the committee by

majority vote, also reconunended that the entire salary schedule i
included in the original personnel proposal be referred to the
Finance Committee for study with emphasis geared toward the
feasibility of income compared to proposed increase.
Finance The January, 1962, financial report prepared and read by the clerk
Report . showing; a balance of $695 , 292. 35 , was approved on motion by
Mr. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon .
Purchase On motion by Mrs , Fisher, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter, a matter of
Order employing; a system of purchase orders and requisitions in the office:
System, of the Clerk was ordered referred to the Finance Conmiittee and the
City Clerk for study.
Cng;ineer' sOn motion by Mr. Burkhalter, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon, the matter
Car of reviewing; and amending; an ordinance providing; for a $50 monthly
Allowance. car allowance for the city engineer was referred to the City
Attorney inasmuch as a car is now provided for the engineer.
Lights & At the request of I•ir. Klieg,ei, a matter of street light needs on
Hydrants on Southwest Bou.l.evard from Swift' s 11ig;11way to Iia.g;tiway 50 West was
Southwest ordered referred to the Committee on Water, Gas and Llectric Lights.
Boulevard. Mr . Kli.eg.,el also stated that a petition would be forthcoming; with
reference tea fire hydrant needs adjacent to the Westwood Subdivision
Off Southwest Boulevard and the committee was also requested to
study this matter.
Water On motion by Mr . Willcoxon, seconded by Mc. Scrivner , the City '
Ordinance. Attorney was instructed co repeal the existing; water ordinance.
