The March financial report prepared and read by the clerk showing port a balance of $812,356.36 was approved on motion by Mr. Jobe, seconded by Mrs . Fisher. j! Purchase Plan On motion by Mrs. Fisher, seconded by Mr. Vanderfeltz, the City Clerk was instructed to proceed with a study preliminary to the installation of a detailed Purchasing Plan for all city purchases. Mrs . Fisher also called attention to the fact that this would be one of her final meetings in the capacity of a councilman. She expressed thanks and appreciation for serving with the body ! for 10 years . On motion by Mr. Butzer, seconded by Mr. Scrivner, a matter of a city wide weed cutting program on all city property was referred to the Street Committee. i Septic Tanks. On motion by Mr. Butzer, seconded by Mr. Riner, the Building Inspector was- instructed to contact the State Board of Health with j reference to Soil Testing for Septic Tank Field Design. !,On motion by Mr. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Burkhalter, the following !resolution was adopted: The Council took up for consideration the matter of calling for bid4 on certain of the bonds of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as ,authorized at an election held in said City on the 5th day of :November, 1957. After a discussion of the subject, Councilman Dave C. Jobe offered and moved the adoption of the following resolu- tion. f 7 i j 'i f �4 fl Re ular Meetin April 9 1962 RESOLUTION TO DIRECT SALE OF BONDS j Be IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Jefferson, Cole ounty, Missouri, that Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($250,000)! f bonds of said City being the unissued remainder of Seven Hundred ' i.fty Thousand Dollars ($750,000) of bond authorized under roposition No. 2 at the special election held in said City on the �I 5th day of November, 1957, be offered for sale to the highest bidder!1 •therefor on the 7th day of May, 1962. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said bonds be- soldl on sealed bids to be filed with the City Clerk of said City at the City Hall, 'Jefferson City, Missouri, at or before the hour of Eight o'clock .M. , Central Standard Time, on the aforesaid date; each bid to be accompanied by a certified (or cashier' s) check on some solvent ank or trust company in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000 , to evidence the good €with of the bidder, the Council reserving the fight to reject any or all bids submitted.
