The following report submitted by Mr.� Scrivner, chairman of the Police Board, was approved by Motion by Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mrs. Fisher: "The committee recommends that the request to consider moving the Police Department from its present location to the Old Jail site be acted upon by both the Police Board and the Committee oh Buildings and Grounds after a ;joint inspection by both committees with the Building Commissioner and the Chief of Police. .After discussing the complaints from property owners and residents 1n, the 900 block of East High Street, concerning a nuisance that kexists in the area, the committee recommends that the problem be ;!referred to the Police Department and the Juvenile Officer. ,;With regard to a request from Barr's Standard Service Station that ,,the Police Department send it more business for service, the Chief i of Police explained that his department did not have full power to ';determine who is to give service. . Koester, secretary of the Zoning Planning and Zoning Commission was approved on motion by Mr. Report. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. Scrivner: The request of Rose J. Koffkey to operate a Day Nursery, six j children any age in her home at 105 Jackson St. , the commission recommends that the permit be granted. Request of A. H. Stuckenschneider to establish a parking lot in rear of his property at 307 W. High St. , was approved by the ,Commission subject to modification of Zoning Ordinance, Section 1701, Paragraph 15 of Ordinance 5$$0, be amended to include light or heavy industrial districts . George Sch©ppers and Joseph Koreger appeared before the commission and requested rezoning of a strip of land on the north side of Expressway to the alley between Broadway and Mulberry Streets, the Commission recommends this area be rezoned from "D" to "E" Local Commercial. District. Fire Hydrant The following resolution was adopted on motion by Mrs. Fisher, Marilyn seconded by Mr. Willcoxon: "Be it resolved that the Capital City Drive. Water Co . , be and is hereby instructed to install a Fire Hydrant at ' ,the following locations : One Fire hydrant at the corner of Marilyn Drive and Binder Drive in accordance with the drawing attached and the recommendation of the Fire Chief." Streets be repaired. Stop Sign The matter of a stop sign at Vetter' s Lane and Elm Street was Vetter' s referred to the Parking and Traffic Commission at the request of Lane-E1m. .Mr. Willcoxon.
