A quorum was declared present.
Arthur W. Following a lengthy discussion concerning specifications for the
Ellis construction of Arthur W. Ellis Boulevard, a motion introduced by
Boulevard. Mr. Dorr, seconded by Mr. Butzer, rescinding Council Action of
October 16, 1961, to construct the section of circumferential
according to specifications as originally designed by the City
Engineer, was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes: Burkhalter, Butzer, Dorr, Fisher, Kliegel, Vanderfeltz
and Willcoxon. 7
Nays: Riner and Scrivner 2
Absent: Jobe. 1
Following this action, a motion, offered by Mr.. Dorr, seconded by
Mr. Butzer, calling for the specifications to be. changed to a
four-inch, Rolled-Stone, base, according to Section 35 of the
1961 State Highway Department Specifications, a primer, according to
section 37, same specifications, and covered with a sealcoat,
according to Section 44, same specifications; said work to be done at
the same cost contained in the original contract, was adopted by the
following roll call vote:
Ayes: Burkhalter, Butzer, Dorr, Fisher, Kliegel, Vanderfeltz and
Willcoxon. 7
Nays: Riner and Scrivner. 2
Absent: Jobe. 1
Recess. On motion by Mr. Scrivner, duly seconded, the council recessed,
subject to the call of the chair.
