Jobe, chairman of the Building and Insurance on Ground Committee, the Council voted to raise the amount of fire City Hall. insurance on the City Hall Building by $15,000 due to the installation of an elevator. The motion was seconded by Mr. Condit and adopted f! py the council. -------- Jl Liability On motion offered by Mr. R. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Hager, the Councill Insurance, approved a motion calling for the City to cooperate with Mr. Dave ;;Herman in obtaining liability insurance as a result of the elevator .'installation by paying for one-half the cost of the premium. Mr. Ralph Jobe reported that he had requested such a study to be made by the Committee on Ordinances and Printing. Slow Sign. On motion of Mr. Condit, the matter of installing a slow sign in the 100 block of Jackson Street was referred to the Parking and Traffic Commission. Collector' s Mr. Hager requested that the City Attorney make a study with Salary. reference to the proper method of prorating the monthly salary of the City Collector when the new salary ordinance becomes effective wetting the collector' s salary at $650 per month. On motion by Mr. Dorr, seconded by Mr. Scrivner, the Council voted to refer the matter to the Finance Committee and the City Attorney. South Side On motion by Mr. Kliegel, seconded by Mr. R. Jobe, the Council voted Parking. to recommend to the Bond Issue Advisory Committee that any money in excess of the cost of constructing the off-street parking facility now under consideration at the southeastern corner of Madison Street and Capitol Avenue, be earmarked by the erection of a facility in the south side area.
