A .Letter addressed to Mrs. Fisher, was received in regard
to weeds, etc. in the 9-I.0 and 11.00 block on Monroe Street .
The letter was ordered filed.
A letter addressed to Airs . Fisher was received from
Mr. E. C. Dickinson requesting the lighting; of Chestnut Street
between Dunklin and Atchison.
The matter was referred to the Water and Light Committee.
A letter was received from Mr. Marvin Fleming, J. A. Denning
and Mr. Harold Remley in regard to the movetilent of students between
the Senior High School on Miller Street and the Annex BUildirtg on
Dunklin Street .
The matter was referred to the Street Committee .
A Letter was received from Edward I..atham, concerning; an
innury he received on the street on January 20 , 1960 at the entrance
to Commercial Avenue on the east side of Madison Street.
The matter was referred to the City Attorney.
A letter was received from Mr. Alex Vetter, Central MissoLlti
Trust Company, requesting permission to grade and pave the alley
between Jefferson and Madison Streets, sotith of Miller Street, at
their expense.

Mr. Scrivrler requested tilaL a pipe be placed across Benton
Street to Capitol Avenue so water can run doom (train.
The matter was referred to the City En6ineer with power to
act.

that a study be made of the surfacing of 11iji, Monroe and Jefferson
Streets and that the Street Conuui.ssioner do the work.

6957/ "An Ordinance directing; the issuance of Fubl is Improvement
Bonds of the City of Jefferson, Cole County, Missouri., in Lite principal
amount of nine hundred thousand dollars ($900 ,000) , authorized at a
special election held in said City on the 5th clay of Novowber, 1957 ;
setting out the form of said bonds and the interest: coupons to be
attached thereto, determining; the rates of interest , rslaturi.ti.es, and
place of payment thereof; and providing for the Lowy of an annual tax
sufficient to pay the interest on said bonds as it accrues and to pay
the principal thereof at maturity." The ordinance was read the first time at
