Reports of City Officers were received for the month of
January, 19 60.

request for street lights at Brunner' s Curve of St. Mary' s Blvd,
Ikas referred to the Water and Light Committee.
letter was received from Dr. Frederick A. Pelletier asking for one .
our parking on the west side of Marshall Street from 7 a.m. to
! ' p.m. was received and referred to the Parking and Traffic Commission.
: letter was received from Mr. Floyd Mattlage, Executive Director of
he Housing Authority, requesting a re-zoning of Morris Edmonds
)ubdivision from single family residential to multiple family
i .esidential.
The request was referred to the Planning and Zoning
ommission.
Request for a refund of $40 .50 paid for Retail Merchants
'License issued to Waggoner' s Childrens Shop was received and on
' otion of Mrs. Fisher, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon, the request was
ranted.
Drainage conditions in the 1400 block St. Mary' s Blvd. , was,
eferred to the Street Committee with power to act.
Drainage conditions in the 100 block Buchanan Street and on'
California Street were referred to the Street Commissioner.
On motion of Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. D. Jobe, the
ommittee of the Whole was requested to meet February 8, 1960.
On motion of Mr. D. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Scrivner, the
��ills which were approved by the Accounts and Claims Committee were
;ordered paid.
The Police Board recommended that parking space on City
Parking Lot be given to the Engineering Department.
The recommendation was adopted.
Mr. Hager reported on the matter of female dogs in heat
eing allowed to run loose and on motion of Mr. Hager, seconded by
. Willcoxon, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an

iudment to the dog ordinance providing a fine of $25.00 for female,

s being allowed to run loose while in heat.
Mr. Dorr reported that the bid of Roy Scheperle on drainage ,
;work at Union and Oak Streets did not include the necessary pipe and
,pn motion of Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. Dorr, the awarding the
,�id to Roy Scheperle was rescinded and was awarded to Brunner
,Fonstruction Company.
Report of the Fire Chief for the year 1959 was received
and approved and the City Clerk was instructed to ask for bids on
500 feet of fire hose.

Bids on a spreader for use of the Street Department were
received as follows:
Koste Machinery Co. $490.00
0. B. Avery Co. 525.00 plus $15000
freight.
On motion of Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mrs. Fisher, the bid
of Koste Machinery Company was accepted.
! The following communication was received.
"Pursuant to ordinance number 6877, City of Jefferson, Missouri;
I hereby designate the following named members of the Democratic
;party as fit persons to serve as Deputy City Clerks, all as
provided in said ordinance.
I name: Paul Hogg, Freeman Farmer and Roy Farmer. I.

Democratic City Committee." t.
On motion made and seconded, the three men are to be sworn in
as Deputy City Clerks.
The following report was received from the Finance Committee.
1. Propose that City buy 72 Dual Parking Meters at a net of $73.00
each set of two with old meters traded in, but given back to City
at no cost for parts.
2. Meters be paid for in cash out of Traffic and Vehicle Fund to
save 5% discount.
3. Purchase a money cart especially designed for these meters.
4. Propose to accept audit from Williams and Romack.
5. City Clerk' s office work toward making suggested bookkeeping
changes.
The report was approved.

6879/ The following ordinance was introduced.
"An Ordinance of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, vacating
and discontinuiung as a part of the public thoroughfare, all that
part of Livingston Street, lying between the west line of Norris
Dative and the westerly line of Section 2, of Jordan Hills Subdivision.
And authorizing and directing the Mayor of the City of Jefferson,
Missouri to execute all necessary instruments to the owners of the
adjacent lots to and for said street so vacated, as the parties
entitled thereto, as shown by the record title to said adjacent and
abutting; property and declaring; a reverter to the respective owners
of said real estate."

Mr. Scrivner, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon, the rules were suspended
and the ordinance was read the third time by title and placed on final
passage and was passed by the following vote.
