Jobe, Jordan, Scrivner, Vanderfeltz and Wi.11coxon . 8 II Absent - Condit and D. Jobe 2 A quorum was declared present. Mr. Jack Crawford complained of a drainage problem on Tanner Bridge Road. I Mr. L. E. Moody complained of a drainage problem at 1428 Major Drive. Mr. Krueger and Mr. Ben Casteel stated that the bridge at 525 West McCarty Street is not adequate to carry the water. Mr. Jim McLellan, 1421 Kolb Street, spoke of a drainage problem. Mrs. Stanley Peszko spoke of a drainage problem at McCarty and Marshal Street. Mrs. Bertha Pimpell, 202 Hart Street, spoke of drainage problem, causing her retaining wall to wash out. It was moved by Mrs. Fisher and seconded by R. Jobe, Jr. , that the City Clerk write the Special Road District to ditch the West side Tanner Bridge Road from No. 1902 south to Hough Park Road and to ditch the east side of Bald Hill Road from Nelson Drive south, and on motion of Mr. Jobe, City Clerk was instructed to request Special ! Road District to ditch north side of Hough Park Road from Rosewood east, one-fourth mile. The motion was adopted. It was moved by Mrs . Fisher and seconded by Mr. Jordan, that the problems of Mr. Moody and Mr. McLelland be referred to the ! Street Committee with power to act. The motion was adopted. The matter of water running in basement in 400 block Cherry Street from City property was referred to the Street Committee. On motion of Mr. R. Jobe, the drainage problem at 1510 Bald ;l Hill Road and at 1016 E. Atchison Street was referred to the Street Committee. Mr. Vanderfeltz, stated that the outlet at south end of F` Elizabeth Street needs more work done and reported a drainage problem at St. Mary's and Gipfert Lane and a drainage problem at Ashley and Milberry Streets. The above matters were referred to the Street Committee. i �j On motion of Mr. Scrivner, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon, the j matter of drainage in the 100 block Taylor Street where there is no j drain under the drive, was referred to the City Attorney. Mr. Jordan spoke of the board fence around Washington Park causing considerable water damage to businesses in the area where it was washed out by the flood rains. The matter was referred to the Street Committee and Park Board. f Mrs. Fisher reported that Mr. Ted Schmidt had complained of a drainage problem at foot of Redwood Drive. j The matter was referred to the Street Committee. �' Recess Meeting, June 16 1958 On motion of Mr. R. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Hager, the drainage ,, complaint of Mrs. Peszko, Marshall and McCarty Streets and of . Mrs . Pimpell, 202 Hart Street, was referred to the Street Committee. On motion of Mr. Jobe, seconded by Mrs. Fisher, the City Attorney was instructed to draw an ordinance vacating one foot of '' land at the Employment Security Building. f 1� On motion of Mr. Willcoxon, seconded by Mr. R. Jobe, the City ?j Engineer was instructed to ask for bids for construction of a drop 1inlet on east side of Hough Park Road between Winston Drive and Greenberry Road. l� The City Attorney spoke of the matter of the Cardwell property I; 11at Linden and Pamela §treets and stated he would get easement it prepared in connection with same. Mr. R. Jobe thanked the Council for the flowers sent to his `' wife while she was in the hospital at Rochester. Request was received from Mr. E. P. Barnett for permission to ;; pave the west 600 feet of James Street between Ridgeway Drive and Norris Street. The request was granted under supervision of the City Engineer. ;; ?' A petition was received requesting two street lights and one I ;! fire hydrant on the 400 block of E. Aurora Street which connects to!; Is Tanner Bridge Road. The request was referred to the Water and Light Committee. is Request was received from the Missouri Farm Bureau Federation, '; that parking be prohibited on the east side of Howard Street ' Jbetween Highway 50 West and St . Mary' s Blvd. r' The request was granted and the City Attorney was instructed Ito draw the necessary ordinance. The Water and Light Committee report was received recommending. ' 1. A fire hydrant on the northeast corner of Howard Street and Highway 50 West. 2. That a resolution be sent to the Capital City Water Company for water service to be run at once south on Howard Street from St. Mary' s Blvd. 3. Two lights be placed on Armory Drive East. One at St. Mary,+ s Blvd. the other at the end of the City' s part of street. 4. One light be placed on Armory Drive West at the dnd of i City' s part of street near the School parking lot. 5. One lumen light on the east corner of the front of the Armory Bldg. 6. One lumen light on the west corner of the Armory Bldg. 7 . The lights at Conoco Station, corner of Dunklin and Madison;; referred to this Committee with power to act, has been held; over for further study. I� The following resolution was adopted. I! i "Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jefferson, ., Missouri, that the Missouri Power and Light Company, be and hereby is instructed to install street lights at the following locations. One light on Armory Drive East at St. Mary' s Blvd. One light on Armory Drive East at end of City owned part of Street One light on Armory Drive West at end of City owned part of street near School parking lot. One lumen light east corner on the front of Armory Bldg. One lumen light on west corner on the front of Armory Bldg." Recess Meeting, June 16 1958 The following resolution was adopted. "Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jefferson Missouri, that the Capital City Water Company be instructed to install water service at once, south on Howard Street from St. Mary is Blvd." The following resolution was adopted. "Be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Jefferson Missouri, that the Capital City Water Company be instructed to install a fire hydrant at the following location. One hydrant at northeast corner of Howard and Highway 50 Wes ." Resolution No. 73. . "Resolution No. 73, providing of the improvement of Hillsdal Drive from the intersection of Hillsdale Drive and west curb line o Ronnie Avenue, to the center of the intersection of Hillsdale Drivel and west curb line of Norris Dative, was adopted by the Council." Resolution No. 74. i! Resolution No. 74, providing for the improvement of Main ? Street from the intersection of Main Street and west curb line of Forest Place to the center of the intersection of Main Street and east curb line of Westmore Drive, was adopted by the Council."
