4 A quorum was declared present.

City Attorney Tom Rose spoke to the Council about the
�atter of the City' s rate case with the Missouri Power and Light Co. '
IInd asked if the City wanted to appeal the case. After a discussion ,;
it was moved by Mr. Willcoxon and seconded by Mr. Dorr that the
case not be appealed to the higher court.
The motion was adopted.

The following resolution was adopted.
"Be it resolved, by the City Council of the City of
Jefferson, Missouri that Arthur W. Ellis said City' s mayor be and
he is hereby duly authorized and fully empowered to enter into and
execute for and in the name of the City one certain written agreement
dated September 2, 1958, between said City and Missouri Pacific
.,Railroad Company, respecting the grant by said Railroad and acceptance
by the City of permission to install, keep and use, for conveying
sewage the City' s own proposed line of mechanical joint lock pipe,
8 inches in diameter, on said Railroad' s premises in Southeast
Quarter of Section 2, Township 44 North, Range 12 West, Cole County, +
Missouri at Jefferson City, true copy of said agreement being attached
hereto as part hereof."

6668/ The following ordinance was introduced.
"An Ordinance providing for the improvement of the roadway
of Castle Drive in the block from the center of the intersection of
;Castle Drive and the north curb line of Hall Street to the center of
the intersection of Castle Drive and the pavement 227 feet north of the
north of the north curb line of Hall Street in the City of Jefferson,
Missouri, by paving with portland cement concrete."
Read 1st time at length, 2nd time by title and on motion
of Mr. Dorr, seconded by Mr. Willcoxon, the rules were suspended and

the ordinance was read the 3rd time by title and placed on final pasdage
