Jobe, Jordan Scrivner and Vanderfeltz. 9 jAbsent: Willcoxon. 1 A quorum was declared present. } Reports of City Officers for the month of December, 1958 werel 1received. } Mr. Jack Jordan spoke on the matter of the improvement of jjBinder Drive. On motion of Mr. R. Jobe, seconded by Mr. Hager, the matter ..was referred to the Street Committee, City Attorney and City } 1;Engineer. Mr. Jordan and Mr. Bob Livingston to be. notified of the ,meeting. On motion of Mr. D. Jobe seconded by Mr. Vanderfeltz the 11bills which were approved by the Accounts and Claims Committee were ordered paid. { The City Clerk was instructed to notify the members of the 'Board of Health and Mr. John Rathouz and the City Attorney of a 'meeting of the Board of Health to be held at 7: 30 p.m. , !January 12, 1959 in the Council Chamber. # E On motion of Mr. Hager, it was ordered that the hoods be removed from the parking meters. ' Mrs. Fisher spoke regarding the re-zoning ordinance of lots 92 through 123 Fairview Addition. A request was received from Captain Henry L. Thomas of the i, 'Civil Air Patrol for permission to use the observation post on the .roof of the City Hall for Civil Defense purposes. The request was granted. A petition was received from property owners on Walnut Street . If W. Miller and W. Elm Street, asking that the Council pass a resolution to grade and pave said street. The request was granted and resolution ordered prepared. A request was received from Mrs. Stanley Peszko for the semi ;annual allotment of $350.00 to the Jefferson City Council of Clubs 'for the visiting nurse program. The request was granted. The following report was received from the Water and Light }� !Committee. ! "The dater and Light Committee recommends the following- That light be placed in the 1500 block on Notre Dame. On St. Mary' s and Emma Streets. If At Emma Street and alley North of Highway 50 West. ; t� At the end of Bel-Air just north of Willow Drive. On Dix Road at school zone sign, first pole north of creek. + On Nelson Drive on last pole south at end of pavement. k The report was approved. !j The following estimate was received from the City Engineer. 'I The following resolution was referred to the Airport Committee ij 'with power to act. "WHEREAS, on the 1st day of May, 1949 , a lease was entered into by and between Raymond Brummet, d/b/a Brummet Aircraft Company, as :Lessee, and the City of Jefferson, Missouri, as Lessor, of a portion: of the Jefferson City Memorial Airport which the City of Jefferson owns and operates in Callaway County, Missouri, the term of said ; lease beginning on the lst day of June, 1949 , and ending on the 131st day of May, 2048, and WHEREAS, the said Raymond Brummet wishes to assign and transfer :all of his interest in and to said lease, to William E. Asel and ;Richard T. Baird, d/b/a/ Industrial Aviation, and WHEREAS, according to the terms of said lease, written consent ;'£or said assignment and transfer must be first obtained from the 'City of Jefferson, Missouri. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED By the Council of the City of (Jefferson, Missouri: That the City of Jefferson does hereby consent ito the assignment hereinabove described by Raymond Brummet to 'William E. Asel and Richard T. Baird. That this resolution is to be considered written consent to the ;assignment of the above mentioned lease in accordance with its terms." The following resolution was adopted. "Be it resolued by the City Council of the City of Jefferson, that ,the Missouri Power and Light Company, be and is hereby instructed toy install street lights at the following places: ' One light be placed in the 1500 Block on Notre Dame. One light at St. Mary' s and Emma Streets One light at Emma Street and alley north of Highway 50 West. One light at the end of Bel Air, ,just north of Willow Drive. One light on Dix Road at School Zone Sign, first pole north of :Creek.
