HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 64-1191 1 ORDINANCE NO. 64 -119 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, OF INTENTION TO PROCEED UNDER STREETS AND HIGHWAYS CODE, SEC- TIONS 8320 thru 8324,TO VACATE A PORTION OF ARDEN DRIVE NORTH OF FREER. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1. The City Council of the City of Temple City; California, hereby declares its intention to proceed to vacate a portion of Arden Drive north of Freer, pursuant to Streets and Highways Code Sections 8320 thru 8324. SECTION 2. The City Council of the City of Temple City hereby declares its intention to vacate that portion of Arden Drive as shown on the attached map, marked Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set forth in full. SECTION 3. The portion of Arden Drive described in Exhibit "A ", referenced in Section 2, is shown on Tract Maps No. 29148 on file with the City Clerk of the City of Temple City, located in.the City Hall of the City of Temple City at 9664 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, California. SECTION 4. The time and place for hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation will be at a public hearing to be held on February 10, 1964, at 7:30 P.M..in the City Hall of the City of Temple City at 9664 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, California. SECTION 5. The City Manager of the City of Temple City shall cause to be poseted conspicuously notices of the proposed vacation along the street where the portion is proposed to be vacated as hereinabove described in Section 3. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect immedia- tely as an emergency ordinance. The City Council expressly finds that this ordinance is required to take effect immediately for the immediate preservation of public safety in that the proper and orderly development of Arden Drive in the area of the pro- posed partial vacation is necessary for the public safety of the public using said street and time is of the essence in the particular development of the area relating directly to the proposed partial vacation.
