AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY AMENDING MUNICIPAL
CODE SECTION 6201 TO BRING THE
COUNTY OF ;LOS ANGELES BUSINESS
LICENSE ORDINANCE 5860, AS
AMENDED, CURRENT TO JANUARY 13,
1964.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1., Section 6201 of the Municipal Code is hereby
repealed.
SECTION 2. Section 6201 of the Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:

"6201. Said County Ordinance No. 5860,
as amended, being an Ordinance regulating and li-
censing business and other activities is hereby
adopted and approved as the Business Regulation and
Licensing Ordinance of Temple City; that in parti-
cular, all amendments to said Ordinance No. 5860
being changes 1 through 66 are included, which
changes are all inclusive to and including
January 13, 1964.
SECTION 3. Section 6203 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. Section 6203 is hereby added to read as fol-
"6203. Wherever any of the following
names or terms are used in said Ordinance No. 5860
of the County of Los Angeles, each such name or
term shall be deemed and construed to have the
meaning ascribed to it in this section as follows:
1. 'County,' 'County of Los Angeles,'
or 'Unincorporated Area' shall mean the City of
Temple City.
2. 'Board of Supervisors,' shall mean
the City Council of the City of Temple City.
3. 'Board of Public Welfare Commission'
shall mean the City Council of the City of Temple
City.
4. 'Building Department' shall mean
Building and Safety Division of the Department of
County Engineer.
5. 'Tax Collector' shall mean Assessor
and Tax Collector of the County of Los Angeles.
6. 'License Appeals Board' shall mean
the City Council of the City of Temple City.
7. 'Board' means the City Council of
the City of Temple City."
SECTION 5. Section 6204 is hereby repealed.

SECTION 6. Section 6204 is hereby added to-read as fol-
"6204. Ordinance No. 5860 of the
County of Los Angeles, adopted by reference by
Section 6201 of this Code is amended as follows:
'(a) Section 2015.1 is added to
read as follows:
2015.1 No entertainment shall
contain any words, phrases, gestures, signs, paint-
ings or articles which are indecent, lewd or obscene
or suggest fornication, prostitution or homosexu-
ality.
'(b) Sections (K), (L), and (M)
are added to Section 92 to read as follows:
K. An entertainment license may
be revoked in the event any entertainment is per-
formed which contains indecent language, or lewd
or indecent conduct.
L. An entertainment license may
be revoked in the event any entertainment is per-
formed which reasonably suggests fornication, homo-
sexuality or any obscene or lewd conduct.
M. An entertainment license may
be revoked if any entertainment suggests vulgar
reference to the private parts of the human body."
SECTION 7. Section 6205 is hereby repealed.

Temple City, on January 27, 1964, by the following roll call
vote:

Nunamaker

and that the foregoing Ordinance No. 64 -121 was regularly intro-
duced at a regular meeting of the City Council on January 13, 1964,
and was adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on
January 27, 1964, by the following roll call vote:
