COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, OCTOBER 7, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The October 7, 2013, City Council “Pre-Meeting” Meeting was convened at 5:46 P.M. by
Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Branch, Bray, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte,
and Scrivner
Absent: None
Arrived after meeting convened: *Carroll (5:50 P.M.)
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Bills Pending 2013-75 and 2013-76 (Lage Ridge Subdivision):
Planning & Protective Services Director Janice McMillan stated that the developers and
property owners have requested that these two bills be placed on the Informal Calendar
tonight so they can make some modifications to their plans.
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll arrived at 5:50 P.M. during staff summary of
2013-77.
Resolution RS2013-31 (support for preservation of MSP):
Councilwoman Carroll thanked the Law Department for drafting the resolution and
distributing it, but asked if all of the other Council Members would also like their names
on it as co-sponsors. The Council stated they would like to co-sponsor it. The final
version will include all ten names before it is signed.
2013-78 (Jefferson City Hangar Lease):
Councilman Shawn Schulte stated he will recuse himself on this issue due to a conflict of
interest.
Announcements:
Councilman Shawn Schulte stated he would be announcing a combined Ward 1 / Ward
2 meeting.
Minutes Received and Filed:

Councilman Rick Mihalevich requested that the Administration Committee minutes which
were shown as received be corrected to show that he was not in attendance at the
August 14 meeting. Gail Strope said she would get those corrected minutes to the City
Clerk for the files.
