COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, OCTOBER 21, 2013
CALL TO ORDER
The October 21, 2013, City Council “Pre-Meeting” Meeting was convened at 5:45 P.M.
by Mayor Eric Struemph.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Bray, Graham, Henry, Hussey, Mihalevich, Prather, Schulte, and
Scrivner
Absent: Branch and Carroll
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Bills Pending 2013-81 (agricultural lease with Fischer) – Staff was asked to give a
brief explanation of the background of this since there was some discussion regarding
the selection of the Fischer proposal over the Hellebusch proposal.
Bills Pending 2013-75 and 2013-76 (Lage Ridge Subdivision):
Planning & Protective Services Director Janice McMillan stated that the developers and
property owners have requested that these two bills be withdrawn as they plan to file a
new application.
*Councilwoman Carrie Carroll arrived at 5:50 P.M. during staff summary of
2013-77.
Resolution RS2013-31 (support for preservation of MSP):
Councilwoman Carroll thanked the Law Department for drafting the resolution and
distributing it, but asked if all of the other Council Members would also like their names
on it as co-sponsors. The Council stated they would like to co-sponsor it. The final
version will include all ten names before it is signed.
Councilman Rick Mihalevich stated he would be announcing a combined Ward 1 / Ward
2 meeting.
