RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT APPOINTING
DIRECTOR -WARD 5 OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
MIDPENINSULA REGIONAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT
WHEREAS, an election for the office of Director -Ward 5 of the Midpeninsul a
Regional Open Space District was sch edul ed to be held on November 8, 2022; a nd
WHEREAS, at 5 :00 p.m. on the 83 rd day p1ior to the date of said election o nly one
person had been nominated for the pos ition to be filled at that e lectio n; a nd
WHEREAS in accordance w ith Section 5532(e) of the Public Resources Code, the
Board of Direc tors, at a regular or sp eci a l meeting shall appoint to the office the person who has
been nom in ated, and
WHEREAS , Karen H olman was unopposed a s a candidate for Director -Ward 5.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Directors of the
Midpeninsul a R egional Open Space Di stri c t, that, pursuant to and in acco rd ance w ith Sec tion
5532 of the Public Resources Code,
KAREN HOLMAN
Is appointed Director -Ward 5 o f said Distri ct, is duly qualified for th e office ofDirector-
Ward 5 of the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space Dishi c t and sha ll take office and serve exactly
as if elected a t the November 8, 2022 gen eral di shict election for said office.
