A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE ALCOHOL
PERMIT FOR CASEY'S STORE # 2667 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN,
IOWA AT 403 STEPHANS ST. EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2012.
Whereas, House File 617 Signed by Governor on March 30, 2011, now allows Class E liquor control
licenses to be issued for premises where gasoline is sold, such as convenience stores. The Bill
eliminates the requirement that convenience stores that sell gasoline have a separate walled -off room
for liquor sales becomes effective July 1, 2011. Sales are for off premise consumption.
Whereas, CASEY'S STORE # 2667, now carries an Alcohol Permit for Class C Beer, Class B Wine
(Carryout Wine) and Sunday Sales. Casey's has now applied for application for the Class E Liquor
Sales.
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa has reviewed and will determine the addition of a
Liquor Permit to the current Alcohol License requested by the business establishment known as
"Casey's Store #2667" located within the city limits of Tiffin, Iowa.
Whereas, the City Council has not discovered any reason to deny the addition of the Liquor Permit to
the Alcohol Permit for "Casey's Store #2267 ". City Council directs the City Clerk to submit for local
authority, approval of permit to the State of Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division.
On the 11th day of July 2012, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin, Iowa.
Councilperson Ryan made a motion for Resolution 2012 -34 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE
ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE ALCOHOL LICENSE FOR CASEY'S STORE # 2667
LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA AT 403 STEPHANS ST EFFECTIVE
AUGUST 1, 2012. Seconded by Council person Weipert.
Ayes: Upton, Bartels, Ryan, Weipert, Ball
Nays: None
Absent: None
WHEREUPON, with five votes for approval, Mayor Berner declared that the Resolution 2012 -34 A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ADDITION OF A LIQUOR PERMIT TO THE ALCOHOL
LICENSE FOR CASEY'S STORE # 2667 LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF TIFFIN, IOWA
AT 403 STEPHANS ST EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2012 be adopted and signified his approval of the
same by affixing his signature thereto.
