April 23, 1945.
A special meeting of Council was held today at 5 :00 P.M.
in the Town Hall, and was attended by Mayor Dutton, who presided,
and Councilmen Hosti, Farrell, Young and Lovell.
The meeting was called for the purpose of authorizing the
Mayor to sign a contract with Wiedeman & Singleton.
Councilman Farrell moved that the following resolution
be adopted. Councilman Hosti seconded and the motion passed.
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, H. L. Wiedeman and M. T. Singleton, a partner-
ship doing business as Wiedeman & Singleton, Engineers, of Atlanta,
Georgia, have .tendered to the Town of Savannah Beach a proposed
contract whereby said engineers offer to - perform services and give
advice in the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, esti-
mates and supervision of construction of improvements to said Town's
sewerage system, F. W. A. Project No. Ga. 9- 244-N, said improvements
to be as set out in a report to said Town by said engineers and as
approved by the Federal Works Agency;
AND,. WHEREAS, said engineers agree to furnish said ser-
vices, specifically set forth in said proposed contract at and for
the sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars ($5700.00) payable
as forth in said contract;
BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen
of the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in Council
assembled that the Mayor of said Town be, and he is hereby author-
ized and directed, to execute on behalf of aaid Town said proposed
contract containing substantially the above mentioned provisions
and the Clerk of Council of said Town be Wand he is hereby author-
ized and directed to attest the same and to affix the corporate
seal of said Town thereto.
There being no further business the Council adjourned
subject to the call of the Mayor. -�
