HomeMy Public PortalAboutOrdinance 64-1281 1 ORDINANCE NO. 64 -128 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA, READOP- TION OF SECTIONS OF THE TEMPLE CITY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO THE ESTABLISH- MENT OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION WHEREAS, the adoption of a new zoning ordinance has caused the repeal of Sections 9100 through 9102 of the Temple City Municipal Code, and WHEREAS, contained in Sections 9100 and 9102 were the sec- tions relating to the establishment of a Planning Commission,sepd WHEREAS, the reorganization of the Temple City Municipal Code requires the readoption of the sections relating to the adoption of the Planning Commission, NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Temple City does resolve as follows: SECTION 1. The following articles and sections are hereby added to the Temple City, Municipal Code: "Article IX 9100, 9100.1, 9100.2, 9100.3, 9100.4, 9100.5, 9100.6" SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect immediately uponits passage. This ordinance is found to bean ordinance necessar for the public peace, health and safety pursuant to Section 36937(b) of the Government Code. The facts in support of the declaration of urgency, hereby made, are as follows : -a new zoning ordinance for the City of Temple City, Ordinance No. 63 -112 was adopted on September 9, 1963, the effective date of said ordinance to be the date upon which an ordinance adopting a new zoning map was adopted and effective; that on March 9, 1964, Ordinance No. 64 -124 was adopted, its effective date to be April 8, 1964; that hence concurrently on the said April 8, 1964, Ordinances No. 63 -112 and No. 64 -124 will become the law of the City of Temple City; that it is essential that all sections of Ordinance No. 63 -112 be added to the Municipal Code to prevent public confusion in regard thereto; that hence the City Council finds this Ordinance to be one necessary for the public peace, health and safety: and it should as aforestated become effective immediately upon its adoption.
