A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA; DIRECTING THE
VILLAGE MANAGER TO SCHEDULE A PUBLIC HEARING
TO CONSIDER THE RENAMING OF EAST DRIVE TO
SONESTA DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Mr. Alan Sonnabend, Vice President and General Manager of the Sonesta
Beach Resort has requested that East Drive be renamed Sonesta Drive; and
WHEREAS, the Village Code provides for a procedure to consider the naming or renaming
of any Village road, street, or public right of way; and
WHEREAS, the first step in the procedure to rename a street involves the scheduling of a
public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF KEY BISCAYNE, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the Village Manager is directed to schedule a public hearing to consider
the renaming of East Drive to Sonesta Drive.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
