CITY OF TYBEE ISLAND

Present: Councilman Paul Wolff, Councilman Rob Callahan, Councilman Barry Brown
Also Present: Diane Schleicher, George Reese, Doug Roberts (Greenline), Chris Stovall (Thomas & Hutton), and John Giordano (Thomas & Hutton)
Meeting started at 5:30pm with Chairman Wolff calling the meeting to order.
Approval of the minutes from the April 9th meeting – Chairman Wolff asks for a motion to approve the minutes. Councilman Callahan moved to approve. Councilman Brown seconded. The minutes
were unanimously approved 3-0.
Old Business:
North Beach Restrooms – discussed Greenline possibly coordinating with a landscape contractor. Waiting on results of test well.
City Hall Needs and Security Assessment Status – discussed flood proofing and possible issues with the elevation of 2nd floor.
Discussed Flag Pole costs and solar power options at Welcome Sign
GEFA Deep Well Project discussed
Well Head Protection Hearing on May 27, 2015 at 78 Van Horn at 6 pm.
Site Plan Review on Planning Commission agenda on May 18, 2015
Site Plan Review and Public Works Noise Exemption on Jun 11, 2015 agenda
Jones Avenue project discussed
Paving Completed
Cross-walk installation scheduled
Discussed Sewer Force Main from #7 Lift Station - Near completion
Discussed Sludge Digester
Notice to proceed given May 12. 2015
Completion anticipated in 180 days
Blowers will be last element added and take time for construction
Hwy 80 Trails Project Discussed
GDNR Permit Approved and good to five years
Current GDOT funding schedule is 2018. Working with GDOT to get that schedule moved up to 2016 or 2017.
Discussed Recycling Compactor – Met with Latitude 42 owner. Owners are assessing the pros and cons.
New Business:
Water Supply Planner – MPO proposal with shared costs – After discussion it was asked of Diane Schleicher to find out more about the services and benefits to Tybee.
At 6:17pm Chairman Wolff asked for a motion to adjourn. Councilman Callahan moved to adjourn and Councilman Brown seconded.
A quorum of city council members may be present which would constitute a meeting.
