AWARDING BID FOR
2023 ANIMAL CONTROL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for the receipt of bids for Animal
Control Services within the Borough of Carteret and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received one (1) bid proposal for the 2023
Animal Control Services as follows:
Total Bid
1. Associated Humane Societies $31,750.00
WHEREAS, Associated Human Societies has submitted the lowest bid for said contract as
evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department; and
WHEREAS, the Borough Purchasing Agent has reviewed the above bid proposal mid has
recommended the award of a contract to Associated Humane Societies, in a total amount not to
exceed $31,750.00;and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
purpose. Acct. #: _
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret as follows:
1. That the,appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter
into a contract with Associated Humane Societies, 124 Evergreen
Avenue, Newark, N.J. for the contract as described above for the sum of
$31,750.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals
and bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's
Purchasing Department, Associated Humane Societies and the Borough's
Health Director.
Adopted this 23rd day of February, 2023
and certified as a true copy of the
original on February 24, 2023.
