ORDINANCE NO. 64 -135
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY, CALIFORNIA,
CONSENTING TO ESTABLISHMENT OF A
PORTION OF DOUBLE DRIVE WITHIN SAID
CITY AS A PART OF THE SYSTEM OF COUNTY
HIGHWAYS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors did on June 3, 1964, adopt
a resolution declaring Double Drive between Grand Avenue and Live Oak
Avenue as a part of the system of highways of the County of Los
Angeles, all as provided in Sections 1700 to 1704, inclusive, of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California; and
WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors by said resolution re-
quested this Council to give its consent to improve said road within
said portion described above;
N0 "I, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Temple City
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. Consent to Inclusion in County Hichway_System.
This City Council does hereby consent to the establishment of Double
Drive between Grand Avenue and Live Oak Avenue as a part of the system
of highways of the County of Los Angeles as provided in Sections 1700
to 1704, inclusive, of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of
California.
SECTION 2. Improvements of Road. Consent is hereby given
for the improvement of the above described road by the County of Los
Angeles, in conformity with its standard plans and specifications for
such a road, or such other plans and specifications as may be approved
by this City Council.
SECTION 3. Certification to County. The City Clerk is here -
by directed to forward a certified copy of this Ordinance to the Clerk
of the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 4. Effective Date. This ordinance shall go into
effect and be in full force and operation from and after thirty (30)
days after its Final passage and adoption.
SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this ordinance; shall cause the same to be entered in the
book of original ordinances of said City; shall make a minute of the
passage and adoption thereof in the records of the meeting at which
the same is passed and adopted; and shall within fifteen days after
the passage and adoption thereof cause the same to be published once
in the Temple City Times, a newspaper of general circulation, published
and circulated within said City of Temple City and which is hereby
designated for that purpose.

regular meeting of the City Council on June 22, 1964, and was
regularly passed at a regular meeting of the City Council on July
13, 1964, by the following roll call vote:
