ORDINANCE NO. 64 -139
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY
ADOPTING THE HEALTH CODE OF THE COUNTY
OF LOS ANGELES (ORDINANCE NO. 7853) AS
THE PUBLIC HEALTH CODE OF THE CITY OF
TEMPLE CITY

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1. Sections 5100, 5101, 5102, and 5103 of the
Temple City Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2. Sections 5100, 5101, 5102, and 5103 are hereby
added to the Temple City Municipal Code to read as follows:
"5100. Reference to Public Health Code of the County of Los
Angeles. Reference is hereby made to Ordinance No. 7583 as amended to
and including September is 1964, of the County of Los Angeles, being
the Health Code of the County of Los Angeles.
5101. There is hereby adopted as the City Health Ordinance
of the City of Temple City, except as it is hereafter amended, Ordi-
nance No. 7583 of the County of Los Angeles, being the Health Code of
the County of Los Angeles, as amended and in effect September 14, 1964.
5.102. Three copies of Ordinance No. 7503 as adopted in Sec-
tion 5201, have been deposited with the City Clerk, and shall be at
all times maintained by said Clerk for use of and examination by the
public.
5103. Ordinance No. 7583 as adopted in Section 5201 is
amended as follows:
A. '.henever in the ordinance reference is made to the
Health Officer, it shall be deemed to refer to the
Health Officer of the City of Temple City, or such
other public body, officer or official employed,
authorized or designated to enforce the Health Laws
and City Health Ordinance in the City of Temple City.
B. 'f!henever in the ordinance reference is made to the
County of Los Angeles or to the unincorporated area
of said county, such area shall be deemed to include
in its true geographical location the area of the
City of Temple City.
C. ':t!henever in the Ordinance reference is made to the
Board of Supervisors, such reference shall be deemed
to refer to the City Council of the City of Temple City.
SECTION,3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately as
an emergency ordinance, The City Council expressly finds that this
Ordinance is required to take effect immediately for the immediate
preservation of public health.
PASSED and ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Temple
City at a regular meeting held this 14th day of September, 1964.

foregoing Ordinance No. 64 -139 was adopted as an emergency ordinance
at a regular meeting of the City Council on September 14, 1964, by
the following roll call vote:
AYES: Councilmen- Dickason, Harker, Nunamaker, Tyrell, Merritt
NOES: Councilmen -None
ABSENT: Councilmen -None
