. Clerk- Treasurer's Report- Clerk Treasurer will give budget report under new
business
B. Councilors' Report- The council thanked everyone for their participation in
National Night Out. Discussion was held about salaries in the City of
Greencastle compared to other like communities. Stacie Langdon
commented how great the downtown looks. Steve Fields commented that if
we keep the pool open the community needs to use it or we will need to
close it earlier in the coming years
VII. Approval of Minutes
A. Regular Session -July 12, 2016
Motion by Steve Fields to approve the July 12, 2016 regular session minutes as
presented, second by Dave Murray, 6 -0, motion carried.
B. Special Session Minutes- July 27, 2016
Motion by Adam Cohen to approve the July 27, 2016 special session minutes
as presented, second by Steve Fields, 5 -0, motion carried. Mark Hammer
abstained.
VIII. Approval of City Claims
A. Motion by Mark Hammer to approve claims as presented, second by Gary
Lemon, 5 -0, motion carried. Steve Fields abstained due to Jameson Coffee
invoice.
IX. Old Business -
A. Ordinance 2016 -8 — An Ordinance Repealing and Replacing Ordinance
2007 -10 Establishing the City of Greencastle Copy and Fee Schedule
(Second Reading)- Motion by Dave Murray to approve Ordinance 2016 -8
(Second Reading) as presented, second Mark Hammer, 5 -0, motion carried,
Adam Cohen abstained.
X. New Business
A. Appointment to the Putnam County Community Foundation Board -No
Formal Action Taken.
B. Budget- Budget packets were given to the Common Council. It was decided
that since the Council had several new members that a special session on
September 16, 2016 would be held at City Hall at 6:OOp.m. to review the
budget in detail.
XI. Adjournment
Motion by Adam Cohen to dismiss at 8:50 PM, second by Dave Murray,
6 -0, motion carried.

I. Pledge of Allegiance
II. Call to Order; Roll Call
Mayor William Dory called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM; upon roll by
Clerk- Treasurer Lynda Dunbar the following were present: Adam Cohen,
Stacie Langdon, Steve Fields, Mark Hammer, Gary Lemon and Dave Murray.
- Tyler Wade was absent.
III. Public Petitions and Comments: None
IV. Special Requests
A. Street Closure & Noise Ordinance Waiver- Tap House 24- Motion by
Dave Murry to approve the street closure and noise wavier as presented,
second Mark Hammer, 6 -0 motion carried.
B. Street Closure- Taste of Putnam County- Brian Cox- Motion by Dave
Murray to approve the street closure as presented, second Mark Hammer,
6 -0 motion carried.
C. Street Closure- DePauw University- Football
D. Street Closure- DePauw University- Parent/Family Weekend Picnic
Motion by Dave Murray to approve both (Item C & D) street closures as
presented, second Stacie Langdon, 6 -0 motion carried.
