AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15.36.020 OF CHAPTER 15.36, TITLE 15
AND SECTION 17.06.020, CHAPTER 15.36, TITLE 15 OF THE MOAB MUNICIPAL
ORDINANCES AMENDING DEFINITIONS OF MOTOR HOMES, PARK
TRAILERS, RECREATIONAL VEHICLE, CAMPER, TRAVEL TRAILER AND
VACATION VEHICLE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MOAB CITY COUNCIL AS FOLLOWS:
That Section 15. 36.020 of Chapter 15.36, Title 15, and Section 17.06. 020, Chapter 17.
06, Title 17, of the Moab Municipal Ordinances be and the same hereby amended and
shall read as follows:
"Motor home" means a self-propelled vehicular unit, primarily designed as a
temporary dwelling for travel, recreational and vacation use.
"Park trailer" means a vehicle that:
(a) is designed as a temporary living quarters for seasonal or a destination
residence which may be connected to utilities necessary for operation of installed
fixtures and appliances:
(b) is built on a single chassis and mounted on wheels; and
(c) has a gross trailer area not exceeding 400 square feet in the set up mode.
"Recreational vehicle; camper; travel trailer; motor home; vacation vehicle"
means a vehicular unit, other than a mobile home, primarily designed as a temporary
dwelling for travel, recreational, and vacation use, which is either self-propelled or is
mounted on or pulled by another vehicle; including but not limited to: a travel trailer, a
camping trailer, truck camper a motor home, a fifth wheel trailer, and a van.
"Travel trailer: means a vehicular, portable unit, mounted on wheels, not
requiring special highway permits when drawn by a motorized vehicle:
(a) designed as a temporary dwelling for travel, recreational, and vacation
use; and
(b) when factory -equipped for the road, having a body width of not more
than eight feet or a body length of not more than forty feet.
This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
