HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-12-2014 Special Meeting MinutesVILLAGE OF PLAINFIELD SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES MAY 12, 2014 AT: VILLAGE HALL BOARD PRESENT: M.COLLINS, B.LAMB, G.PECK, J.RACICH, D.RIPPY, M.BONUCHI, AND P.FAY. OTHERS PRESENT: B.MURPHY, ADMINISTRATOR; A.PERSONS, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR; M.GARRIGAN , PLANNING SUPERVISOR; D.MARQUEZ, BUILDING SUPERVISOR; T.PLECKHAM, MANAGEMENT SERVICES DIRECTOR; J.KONOPEK, CHIEF OF POLICE. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL/PLEDGE Mayor Collins called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll call was taken, all Trustees were pr esent. Mayor Collins led the pledge to the flag. There were approximately 10 persons in the audience. BUSINESS MEETING 1) APPROVAL OF AGENDA Trustee Fay moved to approve the Agenda. Second by Trustee Lamb . Vote by roll call. Lamb, yes; Peck, yes ; R acich, yes ; Rippy, yes; Bonuchi, yes; Fay, yes. 6 yes, 0 no . Motion carried. 2) PLAINFIELD HISTORICAL SOCIETY LIGHT BEACON Trustee Fay moved to adopt Ordinance No. 3156, approving a variance to allow the Plainfield Historical Society to install a 53 foot beacon at the depot property located at the corner of Lockport Street and Wood Farm Road. Seconded by Trustee Lamb. Truste e Peck asked if there were any objections. Mr. Garrigan stated he did not hear of any opposition. Trustee Lamb expressed concern regarding people climbing on the structure and suggested fencing. Mr. Michael Lambert stated that the structure will be fenc ed off and that it will not be permanently lit. It will have motion sensors, however. Vote by roll call. Lamb, yes; Peck, yes ; Racich, yes ; Rippy, yes; Bonuchi, yes; Fay, yes. 6 yes, 0 no . Motion carried. T rustee Fay moved to adjourn The Special Meeting . Seconded by Trustee Lamb . Voice Vote.
