AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
T&M ASSOCIATES FOR GENERAL SEWER ENGINEERING SERVICES
FOR THE 2023 CALENDAR YEAR
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional General Sewer
Engineering Services for the 2023 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the Borough's, Consulting Engineers, T&M Associates, possess the
requisite skill and expertise to provide said services; and
WHEREAS, T&M Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said engineering
services at a total cost not to exceed $25,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed said proposal; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available
for said purpose, Acct.# 3-05.55-501-201
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That the proposal from T&M Associates for professional General
Sewer Engineering Services for the 2023 calendar year at a total cost
not to exceed $25,000.00, billable in accordance with T&M's existing
contract with the Borough, is hereby approved.
2. That annexed hereto is a copy of said proposal.
3. That this action is approved as an award of a professional services
contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
4. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and T&M Associates.

Pursuant to the resolution by the Borough Council allowing T&M Associates to act in the interests
of Carteret for professional services, this proposal is to follow our Proposal for Professional
Services — General Sewer Engineering for the 2023 year. We propose to provide general
engineering services for your sewer system and operations providing professional support,
meetings, project review, document certification and other services as directed by the Borough as
needed, not to exceed $25,000.00, to be billed at our approved rates.
On behalf of the T&M Associates, I would like to thank you for the opportunity to submit this
