AMENDZNG RESOLUTZON No. 01-337 / SPADORO & HZLSON
WANSKUS V. CARTERET
WHEREAS, on December 20, 2001, the Borough of Carteret adopted
Resolution No. 01-337 providing for a professional services contract with
the law firm of Spadoro & Hilson in connection with the defense and
prosecution of the matter of Harold Saperstein v. John Wanskus, et al.,
Docket No. L-950-99; and
WHEREAS, there is a need to ~i~crease the authorization previously
provided to the law firm of Spa66ro & Hilson for the aforementioned legal
services; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are
available for the same.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey as follows:
1. The appointment of the law firm of Spadoro & Hilson
as spedaJ counsel in the above referenced legal matter at an
hourly rate of $125 per hour is hereby continued.
2. The authorization for said legal services is hereby
increased by an additional $15,000.00 for an increased
maximum cost not to exceed $180,000.00.
3. This award i5 made as a professional services contract
pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11-5(1)(a).
,t. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the
Carteret Purchasing Department.

original on March 8, 2002.
