SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 17, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Sternquist called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. in the
Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember — Chavez, Vizcarra, Yu (telephonically), Man,
Sternquist
ABSENT: Councilmember — None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Gutierrez, Attorney
Delshad (telephonically), Administrative Services Director
Paragas, and City Clerk Kuo
3. PUBLIC COMMENT — None
4. CLOSED SESSION
A. Purpose: Conference with Labor Negotiator
Authority: Government Code Section 54957.6
Agency Representative: City Attorney and City Manager
Employee Group: Temple City Employee Association,
Unrepresented General Part -Time
City Council, City Attorney Murphy, Attorney Delshad, and Administrative Services
Director Paragas recessed to closed session at 6:35 p.m. City Council reconvened
with all members present at 7:37 p.m. City Council recessed to a break at 7:37
p.m. and reconvened with all members present at 7:43 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION STATEMENT
City Attorney Murphy reported that City Council met in Closed Session on Closed
Session Item A "Conference with Labor Negotiator". There is no reportable action.
5. ADJOURNMENT
The City Council Special Meeting was adjourned at 7:43 p.m.
