SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
FEBRUARY 21, 2023
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Sternquist called the City Council Regular Meeting to order at 6:03 p.m.
telephonically and in the Council Chambers located at 5938 Kauffman Avenue, Temple
City.
2. ROLL CALL
PRESENT: Councilmember — Chavez, Vizcarra, Yu (telephonically), Man,
Sternquist
ABSENT: Councilmember — None
ALSO PRESENT: City Manager Cook, City Attorney Murphy, City Clerk Kuo, and
Community Development Director Reimers
3. PUBLIC COMMENT — None
4. CLOSED SESSION
A. Purpose: Potential Litigation
Potential Cases: One (1)
Authority: Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(2)
Representatives: City Attorney
B. Purpose: Conference with Labor Negotiator
Authority: Government Code Section 54957.6
Agency Representative: City Attorney and City Manager
Employee Group: Temple City Employee Association,
Unrepresented General, Part -Time Employees
City Council recessed to closed session at 6:09 p.m. City Council reconvened with all
members present at 7:11 p.m.
CLOSED SESSION STATEMENT
City Attorney Murphy reported that City Council met in Closed Session to discuss
Item A "Potential Litigation", there is no reportable action. Item B "Conference with
Labor Negotiator", was not discussed and will be rescheduled for a future meeting.
