AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 53.18 OF THE
HOPKINSVILLE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO HOPKINSVILLE AND
PEMBROKE WASTE WATER RATES
WHEREAS, on March 18, 2021, the Committee of the Whole forwarded to City Council
amendments to Chapter 53 of the Hopkinsville Code of Ordinances.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY, AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE
That Sections 53.18(A) and (B) of the Hopkinsville Code of Ordinances are amended to
read as follows:
§ 53.18 RATES AND CHARGES.
(A) The following schedule of rates shall apply to each Hopkinsville Division user of the
waste water treatment works based on the volume of metered or estimated water
consumption.

SECTION TWO
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, or phrase of this ordinance is held
unconstitutional or otherwise invalid, such infirmity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this ordinance.
SECTION THREE
Any and all ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR
This ordinance shall take effect after its passage and publication according to law.
