AN ORDINANCE AMENDING MOAB MUNICIPAL CODE
SECTION 17.06.020 (21)
WHEREAS, the City Council, on the recommendation of the Moab City Planning
Commission deems that it is necessary to amend the Moab Municipal Code with respect to the
definition of a Flag -shaped or Panhandle Lots as set forth in the Moab Municipal Code
17.06.020 (21) Definitions:
NOW THEREFOR, IT IS ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS:
17.06.020 (21) Definitions. " Flag -shaped or Panhandle Lots Permitted". Flag -shaped or
Panhandle -shaped lots may be created in any single-family or two-family residential zone if all
of the requirements are met:
a. The lot has at least twenty feet of frontage on a dedicated public street, which frontage
serves as access only to the subject lot or parcel;
b. The handle "portion" of the lot is at least twenty feet in width, and not more than one
hundred and fifty feet in length;
c. That the body of the lot meets the lot area and lot width requirements of the applicable
zones.
PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED by the Governing Body of the City of Moab in open
session this 11thday of June , 1996, This Ordinance shall take effect
immediately upon passage.
