APPROVING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT —
JAMES P. NOLAN & ASSOCIATES, LLC
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is fit need of professional legal services with regard to
ABC related matters; and
WHEREAS, Eric Lange of the law firm of James P. Nolan & Associates, LLC, possesses
the requisite experience and expertise to provide said specialized legal services; and
WHEREAS, the law fern of James P. Nolan & Associates, LLC, has submitted a proposal
to provide said services at a maximum cost not to exceed $10,000.00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for
said purpose. Account# 3-01-20-155-299
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret that Eric Lange of the law turn of James R Nolan & Associates, LLC be
appointed as special counsel to address ABC license related matters at a maximum cost not
to exceed $10,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this action is approved as an award of a
professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(l)(a) in accordance with the
Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law.
