PROPERTY TAX CANCELLATION AND REFUND
WHEREAS, Block 3601 lot 1 demolished a building on October 22nd, 2020, and
WHEREAS, the assessed value for 2021, 2022 and 2023 incorrectly included the
demolished building, and
WHEREAS, the Tax Collector is recommending that taxes be cancelled accordingly
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, New Jersey, that the Tax Collector cancel
and refund taxes for the 2021 tax year in the amount of $4,479.01, 2022 tax year in the
amount of $4,526.98.
Adopted this I1'h day of May, 2023
and certified as a true copy of the
original on May 12, 2023.
