AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT FOR
REVALUATION APPRAISAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of professional appraisal services to
conduct a real property revaluation. within the Borough of Carteret pursuant to the
authority of the Middlesex County Tax Board; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has previously solicited proposals to provide said professional
revaluation services in pursuant to NJSA 19:44A-20.5, et seq., in accordance with the Borough's
fair and open process; and
WHEREAS, Realty Data Systems of 2 Majestic Avenue, Ste. 2, Lineroft , New Jersey 07738
submitted the most favorable response to the Borough's Request for Proposals for said
revaluation services in the amount of $381,240,00; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said
Purpose. AGOG# 3-01-46-370-219
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of
Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. The proposal from Realty Data Systems for professional revaluation services
of all Class I & 2, Vacant Land and Residential for the year 2024 at a total
cost not to exceed $381,240.00 is hereby approved, all in accordance with the
Borough's Request for Proposals and Realty's response to the same.
2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract
pursuant to a fair and open process provided for in accordance with NJSA
19:44A-20.5, of seq..
3. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a
contract with Realty Data Systems for the above described professional
revaluation services.
4. That a certified copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Law
Director to forward to Realty Data Systems, with a copy to the Borough's
Purchasing Department.
