Good afternoon, Mr. Schuetz.
I'm just getting back to you with some information on the project in your neighborhood and to answer the questions
you asked.
As you noted, the project near you has been going on a long time. It was originally scheduled to be completed late
last year. At some point we discovered that in order to complete the project we needed another utility to move
some of its underground lines. Those lines have since been moved, allowing us to proceed, but it did delay the
completion of our project. I'm sorry that it has been an inconvenience.
In regards to your questions, the Rate Proposal does not include funding for additional MSD field staff. Currently,
MSD field employees are assigned to multiple projects. We believe the caseload is manageable and there are no
plans right now to change this practice. The monitoring and management of the subcontractors is handled by the
Prime Contractor. We do review and inspect the work being done. Prime Contractors that fail to perform at a
satisfactory level may be subject to sanctions, up to and including suspension. If you have a specific concern or
complaint, we would be happy to have an MSD field representative meet with you to hear your concerns.
Thank you for reaching out to ask these questions. Since your initial email went to the Rate Commission, I will let
them know that we have communicated.

Mr. Snoke,
Yes where I live it take over a year for then complete the Storm water project and still not done.
This is what I am ask I want to make sure MSD employee is over each of project. I don't want see one MSD
employee over seeing a lot project either. I don't agree with rate increase unless we see more management
from MSD that sub contractor doing there job.
Thanks
Bob Schuetz

Mr. Schuetz,
Thank you for your questions. Is there a specific issue, project, or subcontractor to which you are referring or have had
an issue?
