Bidders will indicate on their bid that they have received this Addendum, and have taken it into account in preparing their bid. Bidders can sign the cover page and include it with their submission as confirmation of acknowledgement. 2. If a Bidder has already submitted a bid the BIDDER still needs to acknowledge this Addendum. 3. ALL “REQUIRED SUBMITTAL FORMS” must be submitted with your bid or your bid WILL BE found NON-RESPONSIVE. 4. ALL ADDENDA must be acknowledge with your bid or your bid WILL BE found NON-RESPONSIVE. 5. A Pre-Bid meeting was held on 04/11/18 at 9:00am. The Minutes from that meeting, the sign-in sheet and Questions/Answers from that meeting are attached to this Addendum. Note: These minutes are intended to be as brief as possible. They do not attempt to record all of the conversations that took place. However, they are intended to convey all of the actions taken and instructions issued to the participants. I. GENERAL 1. Introductions: A. Completed. 2. Bidding and Project Schedule: All information reviewed by Lisa Treat with MSD. A. Bid Due Date: May 2, 2018 before 10:00am CST i. Bid Form must be fully completed. ii. Review and follow requirements outlined in the front-end documents for additional information. B. Prevailing Wages: Refer to MSD front-end documents for additional information. C. Anticipated Award: Anticipated immediate. Susceptible to change based upon bids and weather. D. Bidders must meet qualification criteria set forth in front-end documents and Project Manual. Bidders that do not meet these criteria will be disqualified. E. Construction Schedule: Immediate. F. Liquidated Damages: Do not apply to this project. G. WBE/MBE: Required for projects over $50,000. MSD promotes the use of qualified and registered WBE and MBE firms. Review recommendations and requirements defined in the MSD front-end documents and include intent on MSD Form A with your Bid. If you do not meet the minimum requirements, as stated in the “MBE Utilization and Workforce Program” at the end of the Terms & Conditions they will be found NON- Responsive, automatically. H. Payment Procedures: Refer to section 7.4 of front-end documents for additional information. 3. Scope of Work: A. The owner is FM Global insured. Provide the specified FMG 1A-60 Assembly as tested and approved by FM Global. 4. General: Two (2) roof areas totaling approximately 1,071 sqft. See roof drawing RP-1. A. Basis of design for this project to follow FM Global RoofNav number: 91053-0-0 by Sika Sarnafil Inc. or pre-approved equal. B. Provide required project submittals. Do not commence work without approved submittals and FM Approval. C. Submit FM Global’s Application for Acceptance of Roofing System, contractor form X2688, attached to Section 01330, or FM approved RoofNav contractor application procedure packet. Proof of FM Global application and FM Global approval is required as part of the submittal process before work may commence. D. Distribute construction related loads to prevent damage to the structure. The roofer is to inspect the construction related areas before work to ensure the roof can accommodate the construction related loads and activities. Provide adequate precautions to secure the area Pre-Bid Meeting Minutes Project: Harlem North Pump Station Roof Replacement Date: April 11, 2018 at 9:00 AM CST Attendance: Refer to attached sign-in sheet Pre-bid Meeting Minutes Harlem North Pump Stations Roof Replacement April 11, 2018 Page 2 of 3 before work commences. E. Coordinate work with the owner’s operation to ensure the building remains watertight and in operation during construction. F. All flashing heights must meet or exceed 8-inch minimum requirement, unless otherwise noted. G. Provide overnight tie-ins at the end of each and every work day regardless of weather predictions. H. Provide all work to meet or exceed the minimum published recommendations and requirements of the manufacturer’s 20-year NDL/workmanship system warranty. 5. Execution: Roofs 1 and 2 A. Upon approval, remove and dispose of the existing roof system, associated components and metalwork. B. Inspect the deck for damage. Photograph and quantify damage for review by Owner and Consultant. Repairs to be completed under additional approval beyond this contract. C. Clean and prepare the concrete decking to accept the new roof assembly. Refer to manufacturer printed recommendations. D. Adhere new polyisocyanurate insulation (4-ft by 4-ft boards) in ribbons of low-rise foam adhesive. Stagger laps and layers. Insulation thickness to be and taper as indicated below: i. 1/4:12 tapered polyisocyanurate insulation with 2-inch minimum starting thickness fully adhered to prepared concrete deck. Stagger and offset the adhered 4 ft. x 4 ft. insulation boards per FM Global guidelines. Insulation package shall meet or exceed a minimum R-20 average. Secure the insulation boards in “full-coverage” bead application of low-rise foam adhesive. E. Provide and install new ¼” gypsum coverboard, DensDeck Prime or approve equal, over the newly installed insulation. Secure the coverboard in “full-coverage” bead application of low-rise foam adhesive. F. Ensure all curbs meet or exceed an 8-inch minimum flashing height. Remove, modify, and install new wood blocking as required to accommodate new roof height. All wood blocking is to be installed/modified in accordance with FM 1-49 requirements. G. Fabricate and install new tapered edge panel sumps at all thru-wall scupper locations. Sump size to be a minimum of 2-ftx2-ft. H. Provide and install fully adhered 60-mil PVC membrane to the new substrate. Membrane to be within +/- 1mil of specified thickness. I. Provide and install new flashings as required. Flashing membrane to be 60-mil +/-1mil. J. Install new 24ga reglet mount counterflashing along the perimeter of Roof 1. This will require installation of new reglet directly below the perimeter coping stone. K. Install new roof-to-wall expansion joint detail including new 24 surface mount counterflashing along the north perimeter of Roof 2. L. Remove and expose of existing gutters and downspouts. Provide and install new gutters and downspouts matching existing size, location, profile and color. Install new wood blocking as required. Install to comply with FM Global 1-49 and ANSI SPRI ES-1. Extend membrane over gutter flange. Install new termination bar detail set in water cut- off. Fasten new termination bar at 6” O.C. Install new tooled sealant. M. Provide and install new Perma-Tite 200 perimeter metal system along the east and west perimeters of Roof 2. Include fascia extender if required to cover existing reveal line. Clip-on metal fascia color to be selected from standard color chart by the Owner. N. Remove existing sealant at all stone coping joints. Install new backer rod and new dynamic sealant at all stone coping joints. New sealant to match color of existing coping stones. Upon completion provide warranty: i. 2-year contractor warranty covering workmanship and materials. ii. 20-year NDL full system warranty covering labor and materials. iii. Provide 72-mph wind speed warranty upgrade. 6. Questions-Additional Site Visits: A. All correspondence will be completed via email. Send emails to Lisa Treat at MSD. Contact information is provided within Project Manual. 7. Job Site: A. Performed site visit and reviewed roof, access, staging, and existing conditions. B. Further discussion regarding staging locations will be reviewed at the pre-construction meeting. 8. Bid Questions-Clarifications: A. Jeremy McCoy to verify contractor parking and access outside the gate surrounding the pump station. B. Refer to Addendum #1 for revised Detail C. MSD-HARLEM SOUTH AND HARLEM DRAINAGE PUMP STATIONS ROOF REPLACEMENT PROJECT ADDENDUM #1 April 12, 2018 This addendum relates to the following Specification Sections: Parapet Detail– Harlem North Pump Station-Detail C The Owner requires your bid to accommodate the following changes to the above listed sections of the specification on the project: 1. Detail C has been revised to illustrate existing copper counterflashings and copper receiver installed between the wall and stone coping cap set in mortar. To prevent severe damage to the existing copper receiver during the demolition of the counterflashings Detail C has been changed to allow for the existing counterflashings to be cut at the top of the metal break to allow for termination of new membrane. New copper counterflashings to be pinned into existing counterflashings in lieu of complete removal and install of new reglet counterflashing detail.
