ive and shall not prevent the municipality from taking any other
action against such person, persons or corporation violating any
portion of this ordinance which it may be authorized to do in
accordance with law.
SECTION 23. All ordinances, and parts of ordinances,
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
There being no further business, Council adjourned sub-

The regular meeting of Town Council was held today at
4200 P.M. and was attended by Mayor Dutton, who presided, and
Councilmen Biotin, Peters, Young, Farrell, Lovell and Hosti also
by Town Attorney Alexander. Mr. J. Gordon Miller and Mr. W. A.
Jennings were also present.
Mr. Miller requested that an additional police officer
be employed and assigned to the business area of the south end
until labor day, Mr. Miller stated that he also wanted to ler
Council know that progress was being made toward the purposed new
automobile road to the Island, he was informed that the Town
Would cooperate. He also stated that the Chamber of Commerce
had wndorsed the hospital site at Fort Screven for use as a Vet -
eran's Hospital.
Mr. Jennings called attention to the excessive speeding
on Jones Avenue and requested that signs relative to this be put
up.
Mr. Edmund J. Solomon presented a petition from the
Savannah Beach Fire Department requesting the Town to convey to
them the building and land, Lot 3, block 15, Fort Screven Ward,
he was advised that the matter would be handled.
The minutes of the meeting of April 10th were read and
adopted.
Mayor Dutton informed Council that the official open-
ing for thesummer season would be Saturday, May 17th.
Councilman Young moved that the Mayor be authorized

A special meeting of Council was held today at 12;00
Noon in the Town Hall and was attended by Mayor Dutton, who pre -
sided and Councilmen peters, Young and Farrell and by Mr. Carl
Espy, Jr. and John D. Robinson.
The meeting was called for the purpose of opening sealed
bids for the paving of streets at Savannah Beach.

to arrange for appropriate exercises when Memorial park is offic-
ially opened, Councilman Slotin seconded and the motion passed.
Councilman Young moved that traffic warning lights be
installed at Butler Avenue and First Street and also Butler Avenue
and Sixteenth Street and that the matter be handled by the Chair-
man of the police Committee, Councilman Hosti seconded and the
motion passed.
Councilman Slotin moved that the Town employ a playground
supervisor for four mont'b at a salary of $100.00 per month and that
a committee consisting of Councilman Farrell and the Mayor be app-
ointed to handle the matter, Councilman Young seconded and the
motion passed.
Councilman Slotin moved that bills for the month of April
amounting td $3,916.71be paid, Councilman Young seconded and the
motion passed.
Mrs. Clifford Bryan, the Librarian, petitioned for a
raise of $25.00 per month in her salary, Councilman Biotin moved
that the matter be referred to the library committee with author -
ity to act, Councilman Young seconded and the motion passed.
The petition of the Savannah Beach Fire Department for
the land and building on Lot 13, block 15, Fort Screven Ward was
referred to Councilman Lovell and Town Attorney Alexander.to check
into and report back at the next meeting.
The petition of William S. Lovell requesting the Town
to move the encroachment oft his property Lot 7, Ward 1 was read
and Council agreed to have it removed.
Councilman Lovell stated that the Tilton Street groin
was gone and should be repaired, the Clerk was instructed to have
Thomas and Hutton work up an estimate as to the cost of doing this
work.
Town Attorney Alexander informed Council that he had
gotten prices covering the printing of Building and zoning Ordinan-
ces, Councilman Young moved that one hundred copies be printed to
sell for $1.25 each, Councilman Lovell seconded and the motion
passed.
The Mayor called attention to the apparent promiscuous
use of the fire engine stating that it is being used for casual
trips all over the Island.
The Mayor informed Council that Fire Chief Solomon had
ordered the canvas structure used by a fortune teller on the strand
near the bingo stand removed as it violated a Town Ordinance, the
Town Attorney was instructed to give the Mayor an opinion on this.
Councilman Lovell stated that Fire Chief Solomon informed
him that the Seabreeze Hotel should havefire escapes, Councilman
Slotin moved that the ;natter be referred to the Chairman of the
fire committee to confer with the Town Attorney and if it is nec-
essary have fire escapes installed, Councilman Peters seconded
and the motion passed.

The Mayor informed Council that Mr. Sam yarnedoe had
informed him that he had gotten prices to install his plumbing
and the cost was $900.00, that he comtem =dated tearing the
Building down and rebuilding and requested that he be permitted
to remain connected to the septic tank until that time. It was
the opinion of Council that the request be turned down.
Councilman Peters moved that Henry M. Buckley be
elected Clerk of Council and Ex- officio Treasurer for the en-
suing year at an annual salary of $3,465.00, Councilman Slotin
seconded and the motion passed.
Councilman Hosti moved that Robert A. Stewart be
elected Chief of Police and Ex- officio Tax Collector at an
annual salary of $, 2,772.00, Councilman Farrell seconded and
the motion passed.
Councilman Hosti moved that A. Leopold Alexander be
elected Town Attorney at an annual fee of $900.00, Councilman
Farrell seconded and the motion passed.
Councilman Farrell moved that Dr. C.A. Henderson be
elected Health Officer for the ensuing year, Councilman Hosti
seconded and the motion passed.
The Eastin Ride Center protested against the license
of $250.00 assessed against them for the 1947 season and re-
quested that it be reduced. Council denied the request.
Mr. Edgar R. Morrison petitioned for an extention of
time in going into the sewer system due to the high cost of
installations at this time, Councilman Peters moved that the
time be extended to September 1st, 1947, Councilman Young
seconded and the motion passed.
Tybee Water Works requested payment for the several
taps for installations made several months ago and for which
they have not been paid. The matter was referred to the Town
Attorney to handle with Mr. C. F. Powers.
Councilman Slotin moved that the corrected map of the
sub - division of Morris Levy of Beach Lots 61 and 62, Ward 3, be
accepted as corrected, Councilman Farrell seconded and the
motion passed.
Councilman Peters moved that the following Resolution
be adopted, Councilman Young seconded and the motion passed.
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, that a
proposal is under consideration to build a new highway between
the Town of Savannah Beach and the city of Savannah, utilizing
the old right of way of the Central of Georgia Railway, extend-
omg frp, East President Street to a point approximately one thou -
sand yards (1000) North of the Tybee River Bridge, where it would
connect with the present highway known as United States Route 80;
AND,WHEREAS, the present highway is the only route be-
tween Savannah and Savannah Beach and the congestion thereon,
particularly on weekends and holidays, creates serious traffic
hazards and causes great loss of time to persons traveling between
the two municipalities;
AND, WHEREAS, the present bridges bet seen Savannah and
Savannah Beach on said Route 80 are narrow, antiquated, and entire-
ly unsuited to the traffic on said road;
AND,WHEREAS, by constructing a new highway the distance
between Savannah and Savannah Beach would be materially reduced
and would tend to relieve the present congestion, delay and traffic
hazards;
AND, WHEREAS, said Mayor and Councilmen are informed
that such a new route can be constructed provided that the Public
Roads Administration will include said proposed highway as a part
of the Federal Aid System so that Federal funds may be used to
supplement State funds in the building of said highway and bridges;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of
Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, in Council assembled, that the
attention of the Governor of Georgia, the Director of the State
Highway Department, the District Engineer of the Public Roads Ad-
ministration, the Division Engineer of the State Highway Depart-
ment, the Chatham County Commissioners, and. the Mayor and Aldermen
of the City of Savannah, be called to the present situation and
to the need of the proposed new highway, and that they, and each
of them, be requested to take such steps as they may be authorized
to do and as may be necessary in order to have said proposed high-
way declared a part of said Federal Aid System, and to build and
pave the same, and to erect such bridges as may be necessary in
connection therewith, at as early a date as possible.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the said Mayor and Council-
men of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, tender their aid and assist-
ance in any way possible in carrying out the purpose of this re-
solution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of these reaolutions
be sent to the above named officials and to the Chatham County
Commissioners and the Mayor and Aldermen of the City of Savannah.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That the Mayor of said Town of
Savannah Beach, be, and he is' hereby,. authorized to represent said
Town in conferring with any of the above named officials and
govermental bodies in connection with such proposed highway so
that the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, may be fully ad-
vised as to the status of the matter and thus be placed in a pos-
ition to lend its aid and assistance in carrying out said project
in any way that it can.

Councilman young moved that the following Resolution
be adopted, Councilman Peters seconded and the motion passed.
A RESOLUTION
BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in Council assembled, as follows : -
1. That an election be held by the qualified voters of
the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, on the 25th day of June,
1947, under the Constitution and laws of Georgia, for the purpose
of authorizing the issuance of bonds of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, within the meaning of Article VII, Section VII, Paragraph
I, of the Constitution of the State of Georgia of 1945, as provided
by law. Said bonds to be in the amount and for the purposes here-
inafter set forth, to -wit : -
(a.) Bonds, the proceeds of which shall be used for the
exclusive purpose of opening, paving, grading, repairing and hard
surfacing streets and ways within said Town of Savannah Beach, and
of acquiring rights of way and lands necessary in order to carry
out said purpose, in the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars
($90,000.00).
Said election shall be held at the voting and election
precinct within the limits of the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, Georgia, under the rules and regulations governing the
election of the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island,
2. That the following notice, to be signed by the Mayor,
or acting Mayor, of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and the Clerk of
Council, under the seal of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, of'said
election shall be published for a space of thirty (30) days next
preceeding the election in the Savannah Evening press, a newspaper
publiched in the City of Savannah, Georgia, in which Sheriff's
advertisements for the County of Chatham are published, to -wit : -
NOTICE TO QUALIFIED VOTERS
OF SAVANNAH BEACH, TYBEE ISLAND, CHATHAM
COUNTY, GEORGIA, OF AN ELECTION FOR THE
ISSUANCE OF BONDS.
WHEREAS, under and by virtue of the laws of the State of
Georgia, and the powers conferred under the Constitution of`:the
State of Georgia upon the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, a' municipal corporation, are authorized to issue
municipal bonds of said municipal corporation for the purposes
and in the amount hereinafter set out and designated and described
as follows:
Bonds, the proceeds of which shall be used for the ex-
cluxive purpose of opening, paving, grading, repairing and hard
surfacing streets and ways within said Town of Savannah Beach,
and of acquiring rights of way and lands necessary in order to

carry out said purpose, in the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars
($90,000.00)
Provided, the requisite assent of the qualified voters of
Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, to the issuance of said bonds is first
obtained as prescribed by law.
Therefore, notice is hereby given by the Mayor and Council-
men of Savannah Beach, as follows:
PARAGRAPH ONE
That for the purpose of obtaining the requisite assent of
the qualified Voters of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and in accord-
ance with the laws of the State of Georgia in such eases provided,
the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, hereby
give notice to the qualified voters of said municipality that an
election of the said qualified voters has been duly called and
ordered by the said Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, and will be held on the 25th day of June, 1947, to deter-
mine the question of wheather the said bonds shall be issued by
the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, said bonds
being designated and described as follows:
(1) Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Paving Bonds of 1947,
the proceeds of which shall be used for the exclusive purpose of
opening, paving, grading, repairing and hard surfacing streets and
ways within said Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and the
acquiring of rights of way and lands necessary in order to carry
out said purpose, in the amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars (390,
000.00); =said bonds to be issued for the amount of Ninety Thousand
Dollars (390,000.00) in denominations of One Thousand Dollars
(31,000.00) each, same to be designated and described as "Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, Paving Bonds of 1947"; said bonds to be dated
as of the first day of August, 1947, and to bear interest at the
rate of two and three - fourths. per cent (2 -3/4 %) per annum, payable
semi- annually on the first day of Autust, and on the first day of
February of each year, said interest being represented by interest
coupons attached thereto, and shall be executed with the facsimile
signatures of the Mayor and the Clerk of Council of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island; principal and interest to be paid in lawful money of
the United States of America; principal of said bonds to mature and
to be paid and retired in Eighteen (1g) annual equal installments
of Five Thousand Dollars (35,000.00), beginning on. the first day
of August up to and including the first day of August, 1967.
The proceeds arising from the sale of said bonds, if
authorized and assented to by said voters, shall be used exclusively
and as far as necessary for the purposes above enumerated. The
form and manner in which all of said described bonds and interest
coupons attached thereto shall be executed, and how said bonds
may be registered, and all other matters and details incidental to
the lawful issuance, sale and payments of said bonds, shall be
determined and fixed by the said Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, or their successors in office, in conformity
with the laws in such cases made and provided.
PARAGRAPH TWO
That said election for the issuance of said bonds, as
set forth in Paragraph One of this notice, shall be held at the
voting and election precinct within the limits of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, and shall be held by the same rules and regulations
that elections for the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, are held, and the returns of said election shall be
made to the said Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, who shall, in the presence of and together with the man-
agers of said election, consolidate said returns and declare the
results. Due provision shall be made at the holding of said
election so that each of the voters at said election may vote
for or against the issuance of the bonds in question as set forth
in Paragraph One of this notice.
Voters favoring the issuance of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, Paving Bonds of 1947 shall have written or printed upon
their ballots, the words "For Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, pav-
ing Bonds of 1947$t.
Witness the official signature of the Mayor, and the
official signature of the Clerk of Council, under the seal of
the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and under the resolut-
ion adopted by Council this 15th day of May, 1947.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the authority aforesaid that
in the event said bonds are authorized to be issued, and before
the time for the issuance of the same, the Mayor and Councilmen
of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, or their successors in office,
shall provide for the assessment, levy and collection of- a tax
sufficient in amount to pay the principal and interest of said
bonds as the same shall become due so that said bonds will be
fully paid off within the time named in the foregoing notice,
and as fixed by the Constitution and laws of Georgia, and with-
out incurring further debt thereby.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the authority aforesaid that
the Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, shall
Nnd do reserve the right to sell said bonds in such amounts and
at such times as the funds may be needed by said Municipality
doe the purposes for which they are authorized and issued, but
no sale of said bonds shall be made at less than the face value
of said bonds.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the authority aforesaid
that the said election shall be held and the votes consolidated
and the bonds issued, as authorized, as provided in said not-
ice.
Adopted and approved this 15th day of May, 1947.

The Mayor appointed the following Committee consisting of him -
elef and Councilmen Young, Hosti and Farrell to check the items
in the schedule of streets to be paved and eliminate those nec-
essary to bring the total cost down to 5100,000.00.
Councilman Peters moved that the following Resolution
be adopted, Councilman Lovell seconded and the motion-passed.
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the State of Georgia
has passed an Act amending the Charter of Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island, which was approved by the Acting Governor of Georgia, on
March 22nd, 1947;
AND, WHEREAS, said Act materially changes the form of
government of said Municipality in that it provides that only
persons who are bona fide residents of said Municipality may vote
in Municipal elections, and deprives persons who are owners of
real estate within said Municipality and who reside elsewhere in
Chatham County, Georgia, of the right to vote in municipal elect-
ion and of the right to hold. the offices of Mayor and Councilmen
of said Municipality;
AND, WHEREAS, the present population of said Municipality
is less than fifty - thousand (50,000) inhabitants;
AND, WHEREAS, under the provisions of Sections 69 -101,
and 69 -102 of the Code of Georgia of 1933 it is provided that it
shall be the duty of the city authorities in charge of such Mun-
icipality in which the change is sought, to call an election in
said Municipality to be hied within thirty (30) days from the date
of said call for the purpose of approving or disapproving such
amendment to the Municipal Charter;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: by the Mayor and Council-
men of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, in Council assembled, that an
election be held within said Municipality on the llth day of June,
1947, which is within thirty (30) days from the date of the ad-
option of this resolution, for the purpose of approving or dia-
approving said amendment to the Municipal Charter.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that notice of such election be
publixhed in nThe Savannah Evening pressn, the official organ of
Chatham County, Georgia, to the effect that such election will be
held.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that such election shall be held
under the same rules and regulations covering the election of
officials of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, and the polls ahall be
oprn between the hours provided by law with regard to municipal
elections, that is, between 7 :00 o'clock AM and 5 :00 o'clock PM,
said polls being located in the Town Hall at Savannah Beach, Tybee
Island.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the persons entitled to vote
in said election shall be the qualified voters of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, as appears from the list of qualified voters who were
qualified to vote in the Municipal election held on the first Mom -
day in April, 1946, and the Cler'k`df Council is directed to supply
a list of such voters, alphabetically arranged, to the managers at
such election prior to the opening of the polls, which list shall
be kept before said managers during said election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED That a sufficient number of ballots.
be - crovided so arranged that each voter may cast a ballot with
"For'Chrtern, and said ballots, together with tally sheets and
other necessary supplies shall be delivered to said managers prior
to the opening of the polls at such election.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that as soon as possible after
the close of the polls and the counting of the ballots, such
managers shall officially inform the Mayor and Councilmen of the
results of said election, and that the Mayor and Councilmen shall
thereupon declare that said amendments to the Municipal Charter
shall either become effective or shall not become effective, de-
pending upon whether or not a majority of such votes are cast in
favor of said amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that two (2) managers and two (2)
clerks shall be appointed to conduct said election, said appoint -
ments - -to be made by the Mayor of said Municipality, and the compen-
sation of such managers and clerks and the expenses of such elect -
ion shall be paid out of the treasury of said Town of Savannah
Beach.
Those voting yes were Councilmen Peters, Slotin, Lovell, Farrell
and Hosti, those voting no- Councilman Young.
Councilman Young moved that the following Resolution be
adopted, Councilman Farrell seconded and the motion passed.
A RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the
Mayor and Councilmen of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, that the

Veterans Administration has under consideration the establishment
hospital facilities for the care of Veterans;
AND, ''WHEREAS, the Town of Savannah Beach, at present is
without emergency hospital facilities for a population of approx-
imately 2500 people throughout the year, and a summer population
of approximately 12,000 people,in addition to many thousand more
visitors during the summerseason;
AND, WHEREAS, thPre is now in the Fort Screven area of
said Town of Savannah Beach a hospital building which is not in
use for any purpose and which can be used for the care of veterans,
where they may obtain the advantages of sun light, salt water and
an atmosphere practically free from the pollen causing hay fever
and other bronchial disturbances, as well as to provide emergency
facilities for the residents and visitors at Savannah Beach;
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED !by the Mayor and Councilmen of
Savannah Beach, in Council assembled, that the Veterans Administ-
ration be requested to acquire the present hospital facilities
located in the Fort Screven area of Savannah Beach, and to re-
habilitate, staff and operate the same under its hospitalization
program;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Councilmen of
Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, tender its assistance to the Vet-
erans Administration to assist it in any way possible to carry out
the acquisition, rehabilitation and operation of the same.
Councilman Lovell moved that the following Ordinance be
adopted, Councilman Slotin seconded and the motion passed.
AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE TO REQUIRE
THE OWNERS OF PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF SAVANNAH BEACH, TYBEE ISLAND,
GEORGIA, TO CONNECT PLUMBING FIXTURES OF THEIR PROPERTY WITH THE
SANITARY SEWERAGE SYSTEM NOT LATER THAN APRIL 30th, 1945, AND TO
PROVIDE THAT SAID FIXTURES SHALL BE CONNECTED WHEN PROPERTY
OWNERS ARE NOTIFIED BY THE PLUMBING INSPECTOR THAT SAID FIXTURES
ARE UNSANITARY, AND TO PROVIDE A PENALTY FOR THE FAILURE TO DO SO;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES."
SECTION 1. Be it ordained by the. Mayor and Councilmen of
the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in Council assem-
bled, and it is hereby ordained by the authority of the same that
an ordinance adopted by said Mayor and Councilmen entitled "An
Ordinance to Require the Owners of property in the Town of Savannah
Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, to connect plumbing fixtures on their
property with the sanitary sewerage system not later than April 30th,
1945, and to provide that said fixtures shall be connected immediately
when property owners are notified by the plumbing inspector that
said fixtures are unsanitary, and to provide a penalty for the fail-
ure to do so, and for other purposest', be and the same is hereby,

amended by striking therefrom the phrase "on or before the thirty -
first (31st) day of March, 1947", and inserting in lieu thereof
the phrase "on or before the first (1st) day of September, 19471,
so that said section shall read as follows -
"SECTION 1. Be it ordained by the Mayor and Councilmen
of the Town of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in
Council assembled, and it is hereby ordained by the aut-
hority of the same, that all owners of real property with-
in the limits of said Town shall, on or before the first
(let) day of September, 1947, connect, or cause to be
connected, all plumbing fixtures located on the real
estate owned by him or them with the sahitary sewerage
system in said Town; provided that this requirement
shall not apply to outside showers or hydrants on said
property."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby, repealed.
Councilman Hosti moved that the following Ordinance
be adopted, Councilman Farrell seconded and the motion passed.

ING`'OF THE MAYOR AND COUNCILMEN OF SAVANNAH
BEACH, TYBEE ISLAND, HELD ON APRIL 10th, 1947,
PROVIDING FOR THE RATE OF LICENSES FOR DOING
BUSINESS IN THE TOWN OF SAVANNAH BEACH, TYBEE
ISLAND, GEORGIA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING
APRIL 30th, 1948; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
SECTION ONE. BE IT ORDAINED by the Mayor and Council-
men of Savannah Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia, in Council assem-

that an ordinance entitled "An Ordinance to Provide for the Rate
of Licenses for Doing Business in the Town of Savannah Beach,
Tybee Island, Georgia, for the Fiscal Year Ending April 30th,
1948", adopted at a meeting of Council held on April 10th, 1947,
be, and the same is hereby, amended in the following particulars : -
1. By adding thereto the following provisions: -
"Any person, firm or Corporation selling or
offering for sale candy apples. 10.00."
2. By adding thereto the following provision: -
"Any person, firm or corporation selling or
offering for sale cotton candy, or any similar
."

3. By adding thereto the following provision : -
"Any person, firm or corporation selling or
offering for sale a confection known as "Snow-
balls", or any similar confection. $ 10.00."
SECTION TWO. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the authority
aforesaid, that all ordinances, and parts of ordinances, in con-
flict herewith be, and the same are hereby repealed.
There being no further business, Council adjourned sub-
ject to the call of the Mayor.

A special meetinf of Town Council was held today at
12 :00 Noon in the Town Hall and was attended by Mayor Dutton, who
presided, and Councilmen Slotin, Peters, Young, Farrell and Lovell.
The meeting was called for the following purposes:
1. To appoint managers for the election to be held on
June.11th and also the election to be held on June 25th.
2. Consider the petition of Mr. Abro Robinson prohibit-
ing parking on Center Street.
3. Advertise for bids to rebuild the Tilton Street
groin.

4. Consider the petition of George W. Kent to erect
two signs at his place of business on Butler Avenue.
5. Refer the purchase of tires to the Finance Committee.
6. Consider the petition of S. J. and M. S. Robertson
for a refund of license.
Councilman Slotin moved that the following Resolution be
adopted, Councilman Peters seconded and the motion passed.
